Make sure you fill it correctly!!!!
Five of five Stars so far. 2 Weeks in and the all black Rally I ordered is working perfectly. I also ordered one directly from Colibri dot com in silver/black, and they're both identical in quality, weight, finish and craftsmanship. there's a SPECIFIC method to filling these lighters, and if you don't follow it correctly, you may very well have issues. BEFORE filling the lighter for the 1st time (and EVERY time thereafter) FIRST make sure you empty all gas/air from the tank. Failure to do so, can often lead to uneven flame and worse, failure to ignite. Once you can hear no more "hissing" while holding open the switch, THEN you can proceed to turn the flame height adjuster all the way DOWN (off) and THEN and ONLY then can you fill the tank with butane gas. It's the ONLY way to get the fuel level window to fill more than 1/3rd fuel, and will allow you to fill the lighter with more fuel, for more burn time. And even output. Just don't forget to close the Flame Height adjuster before filling, and open back up (halfway to start) after filling and prior to lighting. Also, if you do not make certain that you are buying it from the "Colibri Store" if buying on Amazon, you may well get a counterfeit Colibri. Which may not work at all. If you don't follow Colibri's included instructions, you WILL have issues with lighting it, poor flame height consistency, poor volume of fill, and even getting it to light at all (too much air in tank). Expect to have to adjust to dial to minimum of 50% open, to get consistent lighting and flame. I didn't follow the instructions 1st time I filled it, and it wasn't working well, or at all. I then read the instructions and after purging all gas/air from the tank, I did it Colibri's way, and viola! Works perfectly. Those who cant' get it to work are very likely not doing it right. I own two of the Rally model, 1 sil/blk and one all black. Both work as intended, and do it well. No probs once I learned HOW to fill the tank properly.

Impossible to turn flame adjustment wheel
Impossible to turn flame adjustment wheel because it's way way too tight and will not spin at all even with pliers. Wheel is also made of plastic (because that's what you deserve for a $50 lighter) A clear and complete lack of any quality assurance and a waste of $50, do not buy. I will not be buying Colibri lighters again.

This is a true quality lighter
I have had numerous inexpensive as well as very expensive lighters in the last 20 years. I can say without doubt this lighter is by far and away the most functional and well designed and built lighter I have ever owned. I wish I would have bout this brand years ago. I have purchased their butane for years now and I have found nothing better on the market. I figured, if they go out of their way to make the purest butane maybe they did the same with their lighters. Not inexpensive, but a quality piece of work. As far as durability... time will tell. That is why I did not check the stars for durability. I havenโt owed it long enough to make a valid judgement. Skeet in Oregon

Would not consistently ignite
It took many tries for this torch to light. Beautiful design and heavy feel, but would not consistently ignite. Extremely frustrating. The replacement torch was the same. I do not recommend this product.

Good lighter
Great lighter, lasts a while. Only problem is that the middle panels started moving around after a few weeks

Pure Junk
Been smoking cigars for over 20 years so I know my way around torch lighters. I have also owned many Colibri lighters and all of them have failed shortly after purchasing them. I truly do not know how this company has stayed in business since the 1920s but like the very definition of insanity I go back to them time and time again thinking that this time it will be different. This Colibri Rally Single Jet Gunmetal lighter is no different. Well, it is different in that unlike past Colibri lighters that lasted me a month or two, this one never even ignited right out of the box. I purged it, filled it with butane several times but nothing. I should have known better than to take a chance on another Colibri lighter; they will always fail.

Wanted to update my Review
I wanted to update my review, but I could not find the original. The issue I was having from what I gathered is I was trying to put too much butane in the lighter and fill it all the way to the top of the marker. I donโt recommend this maybe 3/4 of the way is fine. I think overfilling it will cause it not too light. Maybe too much pressure. So basically I released a lot of the butane and it works fine now!
