On the internet, there are many window mounts to choose from. But if you’re looking for a pro piece of gear, that’s built like a tank, and will possibly outlast you, this is the one you want.If you read the fine print, on many inexpensive window mounts, they’re made of cheap plastic and aluminum. That’s the last thing you want, if you have an expensive camera or scope attached to your drivers side window! This unit has surpassed my expectations, and is truly something I trust on a weekly basis. I would bet money that it will outlive me: it’s built that good!The swivel head is smooth, the quick release mount is very secure, and the handle tightens down your perfect angle. This is a perfect solution forphotos or videos that need to be steady, but it’s not practical to get out of a vehicle and set up a tripod. With this, you can get the frame you want, and run, before anyone asks you what you’re doing. On my first use, for a travel video, I drove to a town, attached it to my window, and got footage of 8 different restaurants, with very minimal new setup. It was a huge time saver, and I didn’t have to explain what I was doing, to 8 different restaurant managers!After decades of doing video work, I am very picky with my gear. I have no interest in buying cheap stuff, that I’ll end up having to replace, again and again. I can honestly say that this is one of the best pieces of gear I’ve ever bought, would recommend to anyone!

Great window mount. Very solid and very secure.

I have this window mount on an 85mm spotting scope and it did well for a couple years until the internals in the twist lock stripped out. The build is high quality except for the plastic nut and housing that controls the tension. It should be metal. I'll buy another and keep this weakness it in mind when using it. This is the best window mount I've found for a heaving spotting. The big name scope branded mounts are useless with a heavy scope as the tension is either all or nothing.

This window mount is very sturdy and has nice smooth controls for aiming your optics to your desired target. I used it with a spotting scope, a small refractor telescope, and a pair of 10×50 binoculars with an adapter and it works great across the board. It is a little bit bulky. But the build quality negates any negative from it's overall size. I would recommend this to someone looking for a window mount. Cameras would work with it as well. The extra post next to the ¼" threaded stud is spring loaded and can be pushed down out of the way in case anyone is wondering

If you're looking for smooth tilting & panning this head does neither. If all you need is sturdiness in a locked in position it might work for you.Returning it & looking for something that delivers true to claims.
