Great for fine details
Update 3 months: Pen is still very fluid and the tip hasn’t dried out. No need to use the included extra tip just yet. I admit I’ve only used it a few times, but it’s been very reliable in each use and works as expected each time. I don’t have to fiddle with it or fight with it to get it working again, it just works. I do recommend picking up like a rubber cement eraser as this being for small fine detail masking can be tedious and rough on your fingers to remove if you’ve done a lot of masking spots. Original review: This masking pen works great for smaller detail areas. This pen isn’t going to be your one stop do all. You will still need a regular ol bottle for covering larger areas. It did take some getting used to as it seemed to be goin on too thin to work, but the thinner covered areas masked as well as the thicker and multiple applied areas, and removed MUCH easier. I experienced no ripping or tearing of my 100% cotton Hot-press and cold-press papers. I haven’t tested on cellulose papers. Will update on longevity of the pen.

Works well
I've only used these a short time but so far so good. Reminiscent of when I was in high school and we used a similar product. I like that it can mask areas that are too hard to paint white in a project.

Nice applicator of masking for small areas, latex free.
Works well to mask watercolor on good paper. Liquid from a nozzle so not completely precise or tiny but works to easily lay down small area or dots to protect.

Good marker, consistent flow of gum, rubs off easily when used according to directions.
This drawing gum marker is easy to use for saving white areas in a watercolor painting, so much more precise than a brush and bottle of liquid drawing gum.

Not very happy with this
Maybe I need some practice with it, but it seems to dry while you’re using it, as it doesn’t come out thick enough and the area you’re trying to cover isn’t covered so while going back over the area, you’re rubbing off dried masking fluid. Absolutely could be user error, but if that’s the case, then there should’ve been better instructions or maybe a video attached.

Works great with alcohol markers
I bought this for alcohol markers art work. I knew there was a chance it may not work bc it isn't made to use with marker. I was happy to see it worked really well. There was no issues at all. I will keep using this for future pieces
