Zildjian Travis Barker Double Stick Mallet Pair

I'm primarily a bass player, but I do a bit of percussion. I picked these up because I wanted a cheap pair of multi-purpose sticks with a mallet head for softer effects.These mallet heads are SO HARD though that it defeats the purpose. I understand that Travis Barker's name on them probably tells you they're for music that has two dynamics — loud and louder — but still, I don't even really get the point. They work *OK* for cymbal swells, although the strange material (not felt) coating the heads rubs off all over the cymbals.But the main reason I wanted mallets was to get a more defined and dead thump on a cajon than I get from my hands, and these are absolutely terrible for that purpose… they create a much sharper, trebly knock on the wood than my hands do.Caveat emptor and all of that; I should have known better… I went with these because they were cheap. But cheap is no good if you can't even use them.

This is the second time I have purchased these Zildjian mallets. the reason being is that my previous pair which is exactly the same has already lasted me for more than 3 years. I love the stand out white colour which adds some contrast in my stick bag.I was very surprised about the weight, looking at the head of the mallet, one would think it is relatively heavy, but to my surprise, it was not.order arrived 3 days earlier than expected which put a smile on my face

These multipurpose sticks are fantastic for playing multiple percussion instruments during soccer matches. I can switch around for bass drum, snare or tom use. Not perfect for any application, but great for versatility in a march or supporter’s section.

Good Quality sticks and shipping was fast. The felt on the beaters was a little harder than I expected but worked very well...

Use these sticks to play in Church. I like the option of quick changes simply by turning the stick, no need to reach for another set of sticks. They work well, they are nicely balanced and I don't have a problem using these sticks.

Purchased for our grandson. He loves them. He is not a professional but he does play in a band

Bought mainly for the mallets, but figured having the stick tips would be a nice bonus for quick transitions. Works great, and is the same diameter of the sticks I already use. Will probably buy again if/when they break. Only wish there was an option for nylon tips, but not worth taking off a star.
