Givi UT806 Soft Bag

Ride a R1200GS and it fits the bike well. Someone complained it didn't fit their sports bike, yet looking at the picture and even more reading the description that it is meant for a larger ADV bike, I would put that on the buyer, but they gave the bag a 1 star anyways. As for the bag, it is well made, durable, solid anchor points. Haven't given it a rain test yet, but experience from what works and doesn't over the last few decades of riding leans towards will keep out the worst of downpours. The secondary roll feature under the zipped top will do the job. Not sure if it will hold up to being submerged long term, but I am riding a motorcycle not rafting. They make bags for that as we all know.

I just trialed this bag on a 2,000-mile round trip from Texas to Great Smoky Mountains park. The bag is a fine design - spacious and so far waterproof. Construction is generally good, with the notable exception being plastic tie-down buckles. They are awkward and inconvenient to use, and I'm not sure how long they will last. The SW-Motech Ion Large 50-litre bag has well-made metal binding buckles, and the UT806 would benefit from similar buckles.The bag sits well on my ZX-14R, fairly fully packed with gear. In point of fact, the very large size of this bag may be a drawback, as it can be quite heavy and unwieldy. On balance, it's a good bag, with good capacity and construction, except for the tie-downs. It's probably overpriced, but serviceable for sport touring.

On achète un givi pour la marque, la qualité reçue bref pour ne pas se tromper. Alors ce qui énerve, c’est de n’avoir pas d’élastique (Ou passant) qui maintiennent les sangles trop longues lorsque l’on a attaché le sac. Elles tombent vers la roue. Dommage alors que la plupart des sacs les ont. Vraiment dommage car le sac est plein de qualité et semble très bien....

Really good bag fits well and enough room for a week or more away. Good quality materials used and is about as waterproof as most good dry bags. At that price for a bike that does not take panniers can't go wrong.

Non ho ancora avuto modo di provare la borsa sul campo, ma ho provato a montarla sulla sella e devo dire che ci vuole un attimo. Temevo un po' per l'ingombro (ho una hornet 600 del 2012, cha ha un codino relativamente piccolo) ma a parte l'aspetto estetico che può piacere o meno, la borsa rimane stabile e funzionale.Ho scelto questo modello principalmente per la fodera antipioggia integrata internamente che non richiede quindi di coprirla ulteriormente e per lo spazio, che ad un primo sguardo sembra veramente enorme. Ora mi tocca solo inaugurarla con un bel viaggetto!

Great great bag. Been through the worst weather with it, inner bag stays dry.And I'm talking like riding through a waterfall for hours.
