Café Glass Coffee Mugs, 16 oz, Set of 6

These are really pretty and elevate morning coffee routine! I had tried the insulated ones from a different company before this thinking that would be better but the lip of the coffee cup was too thick much prefer the glass really good deal too. I like the 16 ounce size. It allows me to froth my cream without a big mess.

Anchor Hocking 16-oz Café Glass Coffee Mugs, Clear, Set of 6. Anchor Hocking glass is a quality brand. I was looking for glass mugs larger than 11 oz. and I saw these on the last prime sale. The mug can hold a generous amount and leave space at the top to avoid spilling. I love the pedestal foot on the mug. We have been trying different teas & coffees and we enjoy seeing the color of the brew. I do not like thin borosilicate glass because it breaks easily. I prefer thick and sturdy Anchor Hocking glass. These mugs have a cozy look and my family loves them. 11-1-23

I’m having a really difficult time assessing these bad reviews. I have to assume that these people who wrote them don’t write both good and bad and only review things when they don’t work out, in this case. I mean, these ARE glass mugs. They aren’t unbreakable and I’m sure considering any mailing service they COULD break within the mailing system. At any rate, I felt compelled to write this review because I’ve used this one mug everyday for three days and washed in every single day in the dishwasher ON PURPOSE because unless, I’m purposely throwing it around or Ive dropped it. So I’ve sent it through the ringer. Iv even placed boiling water in this and also microwaved it for 3 minutes... THIS EXACT MUG I HAVE PICTURED. I wanted to see if I could make it crack. It’s only been a week but just like any other dish unless I drop it I don’t think it’s going to break. So, consider that it is glass and consider my review when reading the others. I have quite a few Anchor and Hocking pieces and they’ve never done me wrong. It’s double insulated as stayed and seems of good quality. I’m not huge in he actual style of the “foot” I’d rather it just be flat but 6 mugs for that price was worth it. Remember: many people only review when things are bad and finding bad reviews is GENERALLY much easier than finding a good one. Hey, wanted to give an update! It’s 2022! And they are still being used regularly and going strong! :)

TL;DR - recent reviews about poor quality are correct. I would not purchase this item. I have had very good experiences with this product in the past. I've purchased these glasses several times over the past 10 or so years. Prior purchases were not on Amazon. Over time, I would inevitable break a glass here or there (my fault, not the quality of the glass). Because I trusted the quality of these glasses, I purchased a new 6-pack of these glasses in 2020. They matched the high quality of the older glasses that they were replacing. Again, I inevitably broke a few glasses (my fault, not the quality of the product) over the last 2 years and decided to "Buy Again" on Amazon in early 2022. Despite seeing recent poor reviews of the product, I went ahead and purchased the same 6-pack that I had purchased 2 years prior based on my past experience with the quality of this product. The first box that I received in my recent 2022 order contained 1 chipped glass and several other glasses where the base was warped (wobbled on the counter) and the seams in the glass were rough. Amazon processed a return and promptly shipped me another 6-pack. In the new package, several bases were again warped which made them wobble and seams in the glass were again very rough. Out of the 12 (2 x 6-packs) that were shipped to me, I could barely put together 6 glasses that were "acceptable" quality - and shipped back the remaining poor quality 6 as part of the return. Over the last month, I've had to additionally throw away 2 of the 6 new glasses due to chipping in the dishwasher. In summary: I have been very disappointed with the recent quality of this product. Same versions of this product that were purchased in 2020 and earlier were excellent quality. Recent purchases of this product were poor quality. I have not yet found a suitable replacement for this product.

These clear glass coffee mugs are made with very nice quality, ample sizing and look just beautiful. My only negative mention is the molding of the handle. A raised "seam" runs right down where your thumb would support the mug. It is not too bothersome while empty, but once it is filled, the seam does begin to dig into your thumb a bit. Otherwise, they would have been 5 stars.

Anchor Hocking is an outstanding product and my 5 star rating reflects how much I love their work. We bought our first set of these new and they're still going strong (Hubby ordered those for me). This review is being given through the second set bought warehouse. & On that note. *Word of caution concerning the product* Anchor Hocking can take a little rough handling but it is still just made out of glass. Best recommendation is to purchase these in new condition. Other best advice: if you have exposed tile floors or only have narrow runners, perhaps consider a larger or thicker rugs in areas where things are often dropped, such as in front of the refrigerator or where the mugs are stored. This can help preserve breakables and prevent the need for huge messy cleanups.

The same mugs were available on Amazon from other sellers at 2/3 the price but I thought this would be genuine Anchor Hocking and made in the US. When I received it, was really disappointed. It was the same as the generic ones available at a much lower cost. Came in a card box box without any Anchor Hocking branding nor did the glasses have them.

We’ve had these for nearly 2 years. They’re solid, good mugs. We use them daily and are pretty rough on our dishes (overstack the dishwasher, etc), and they’ve not chipped. They microwave well (and the handles stay cool). I remember when we bought them there were some reviews about a line/seal on the handle - yes, it’s there, but not noticeable when using them.

There was a deep crack on the handle and it was chipped. It could break any time. The cups were dusty but not an issue as I could have washed them. The workmanship was very average. Had to return the mugs.

Me encanta que un producto tenga esa relación calidad-Estética, pues son muy bonitas pero a la vez con una resistencia buenísima, son gruesas y grandes, más grandes de lo que me esperaba, me sale una muy buena taza de café o té. Resisten muy bien al calor y lucen muy hermosas. El precio creo que es lo mejor.
