The tradesman suspenders I purchased was my second of this type. The new one uses plastic adjusters as opposed to the metal ones on my first purchase made some time ago. It is easy enough to make the adjustment but after I've done some work wearing them, the plastic adjusters slip all the way down causing me to do a readjustment frequently. The clips are now plastic as well but seem to stay on without any issues.

These are amazing. We initially found these at an estate sale and after a couple years my husband needed new ones. I bought 2 pairs but ended up giving one to our son. Of course, I need to order more for both of them. They both work construction and carry a lot of stuff in their pockets, these keep their pants in place. You won't be disappointed.

I am a PLUS size guy, and I LOVE them!they hold the thinnest of pant materials in place (single layer cotton).I have not tried silk (worried i will rip the fabric).it will clip to a leather belt (not recommended), i am afraid that it will stretch the plastic clips to where they won't hold the single layer cotton any more.
