Femme Fatale: The Art of Shuzo Oshimi

Just a wonderful collections that highlights the commonalities and uniqueness in Oshimi’s art

I'm a big fan of Happiness, Inside Mari, Flowers of Evil, Yuutai Nova and Drifting Net Cafe so instant buy on my part. A few minor layout issues but worth the wait. Long wait.

This is a must have for any fan of Shuzo Oshimi. The artwork is stunning and the artbook itself is very premium feeling. The price is worth it, definitely recommend.

Great art book totally worth it

I'm a huge fan of "The Flowers of Evil", so I figured this art book was a must-have. When I received it though, I do have to say I was a bit disappointed. While some of the works in it are gorgeous, there's also a few critical flaws in this collection. To start, the two-page layouts are horrible. Because of how the book is bound, the middle of the two-page layout images are always cut out or obscured, ruining those pages, which is a shame because some of them look like they'd be beautiful if I wasn't missing 1/3rd of the picture. Secondly, the few comic pages within this collection are NOT translated into English. And thirdly, there is some very distasteful pornographic material within this collection. I think nudity in art is fully acceptable when done eloquently and to serve some greater thematic concept, however, one or two of the artworks featured seem just crude, but then again, there was nothing too graphic. Overall, it's a real mixed bag. Some of the artwork in this collection is gorgeous, and I'm glad I own it, however, I wouldn't necessarily suggest it to any of my friends, unless they are an Oshimi superfan.There was also not a whole lot of new "Flowers of Evil" art in it, but the pages and works that were featured were phenomenal, despite the lower quantity than I would have liked.

Spreads are completely swallowed up. You can't see half the drawings because of the spine and the composition of the image concealing it. Also has random marks and glue from the spine, so there's just generally some defects as well.

i absolutely love his works and seeing and buying this book has made my life improve and i know that sounds crazy but seeing his art in your own hands is such an experience.

Cuando lei "pasta blanda" supuse que seria un libro de hojas normales y fragiles pero nada que ve, la portad aunque es pasta blanda, esta gruesa y de buena calidad... y las hojas... esas hojas son gruesas y rasposas de una calidad suprema.Los dibujos, si eres fan de shuzo, te tendran encantado.Igual ,es su primer artbook, esperemos que saque mas, porque valen la pena, ver esos trazos y esos colores

Artbook meraviglioso, che permette di godere del tratto affascinante che l’autore è in grado di esprimere nelle figure femminili.Per ammiratori di Oshimi, ma direi anche, per chi ama il fumetto giapponese in generale.

El libro de arte es espectacular, las hojas son gruesas y por supuesto las ilustraciones de Oshimi son una belleza. Solo voy a poner una pega. El libro vino un poco doblado. Nada que no se pueda arreglar, de hecho un día bajo una pila de libros y rectificado. Pero que los de Amazon lo tengan en cuenta para el futuro. Muy contento con la compra!

I've always loved the attention to detail Shuzo Oshimi has in his creations. This art collection highlights his two biggest strengths very well.1: His watercolour skills. Fantastic and almost otherworldly in skill.2: His ability to make frightening scenarios out of ordinary women.If you're a fan of any of Oshimi's works, you NEED to pick up this book.

El arte de este mangaka es increíble, la calidad del libro es muy buena, quedé enamorado de esta edición, totalmente recomendado.
