Pair of Straight Aluminum 5” 4 Louver Hood Panels (Bolt-On) Kit

Louvers are high quality and the perfect size for my project. The included stainless fasteners look to be good quality. As with any time you are fastening a stainless nut to a stainless bolt (and especially with nylocks as this kit includes - a nice touch) you need to use some sort of thread lubricant or you will run a high risk of galling the threads and seizing them. I have had great luck using normal anti-seize paste.

I'm currently in the middle of installing 4 of these louvers and stopped to write this review. I don't even have 2 completely bolted in yet and 4 bolts/nuts have striped halfway being tightened and are stuck! A 5th bolt/nut striped but I was able to back that one off as soon as I could tell it was getting tight/striping. The only way to get the other 4 off is to cut them and guess what? THERE'S NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO GET IN THERE AND CUT THEM OFF! Now I'm screwed because I have 4 loose nuts/bolts and no way to remove them. Now I have to go get my own hardware which is going to cost me more money PLUS the included bolts are TO LONG!Literally HALF of the hardware I got was junk, 22 good and 22 bad. I installed the nuts to test them and the bag on left shows what good ones were left, the bag on the right shows all the bad ones. As you can see the bad ones most striped before the nut was even half way on. At that point they won't back off, they just strip worse and the allen head then starts to round/strip itself.
