All ubiquinone, no ubiquinol. If over 25 you want ubiquinol.
Normally I would rave about Innate Response supplements but in this case I must warn you.First some background:Coq10 exists in two forms: ubiquinone(oxidized form) and ubiquinol(reduced form also known as active form). If you're under 25 years old, your body is capable of converting ubiquinone to the reduced form (ubiquinol) fairly well. However, if you're older, your body becomes increasingly challenged to convert ubiquinone to ubiquinol. If you're older than 25 years old you want the active form of ubiquinol. You'll get almost no benefit from ubiquinone. The formulation that Innate Response uses is the oxidized form - ubiquinone. If you're older than 25 their formula really won't help you.I just called the Innate Response customer service line and strongly suggested to them to make a product with the active form. How many people under 25 years old are going to spend $35 on vitamins? Not many. The person I spoke with was polite and said she would contact their development team about this - we'll see.
