A really good volume to the short series of Blood+ If you haven't read the manga yet I suggest it. It's not as action packed as the anime, but it's still rather good.

Blood Plus- with a twist!
This manga series is awesome- every vol. this different between this and the anime is - SPOILER ALERT- Riku ALMOST gets "Raped" by Diva- but he ruins the mood by confusing her with Saya, Riku survives, there is no Schiff but there is a Corpse Corp( which are clones of Carl/Charles, other than that everything's the same, but still this is a pretty awesome series!

The plot thickens!
Diva is certainly stepping up her initiative. Riku's kidnapped yet again and Saya's trying to fight going berserk. In that state she's unstoppable and will kill anything, friend or foe. She continues to struggle with her nature mentally. All of the death causes her a lot of anguish. I'm not sure if that makes her annoying for some or not, but I just feel bad for her. How much more can the poor girl take before she completely breaks?I think the screen time given to Diva helps the reader understand her character better and perhaps sympathize with her just a smidgen. She isn't completely in the driver's seat, so you sort of imagine how it is for her merely being a socially stunted puppet.Haji's character is more proactive in this series as opposed to the anime, which I love. In the anime it's more about doing only what Saya tells him to do. Here he takes initiative and I really love how he establishes himself as her lover.Themes of this manga are disturbing, namely child rape and murder, so this series may not be for you if you can't stomach that in fantasy. But if you want to read a not-so-typical vampire story, this one comes recommended.

The creepiness factor continues to exponentiate.
Other than Solomon's continued creepiness and me crying on the inside that my favorite character has been reduced to a carbon copy of his older brother, again we are greeted with more sexual objectification. This time with Saya's twin Diva. And to top off the icing on the cake of creepy, Solomon tries to force her to "mate" with an underaged boy. Totally not at all pedophilic because despite being over 130 years old, Diva looks like a 16 year old so it's A-okay, right? Ugh, I'd rather play s***ty PS2 games than read this trash. Pass.

Vampire Manga at its best!
The second to last book from Blood+ still has jaw dropping artwork, packed with punches and emotional scenes. Five books doesn't seem long enough though, I am keen for the anime to hurry up and get licensed. Despite the short amount of books, no character is forgotten or left in a dark corner. Must read!
