Hot Diggity Dog Mustard Costume, Large

We took our minature dachshund, Gertie to Petsmart for their yearly Halloween party that they have for their customers. Everyone could not believe how cute she looked. I read the reviews, because I was not sure what size to get her, since she is a little chubby at 16 pounds. When I read one review, the person made it seem that the costume ran really small, not true. I first ordered the size large, and it was so big, it looked as though it would fit a great dane,(ha,ha). It actually fit her perfect when we reordered it in a size medium. Amazon was so great about returning it and getting the smaller size to us on time for the shindig. This is why we always shop here. My dog hates wearing anything, but the costume looked like she actually liked wearing it. It closes with velcro, so it is easy on and easy off. She sits in a stroller, so it was like having extra padding, because of the soft buns. It is really cute for the money. I know Halloween is over now, but try to buy it for next year, you will not be sorry.

This was a joke - until I put it (Large) on our 70 lb. Golden Doodle and took him along on the grandkid's suburban trick-or-treat trek. Every single child who passed us - and many teens - loved to greet the "Hot Dog" (get it? - it is an idea that tickles the young). It made our day! X-Large would have fit better, but it didn't matter. Also survived rain and two trips in an over-stuffed car trunk. We will use it again next year.

I got a size Large for my 30lb corgi and it almost fits her perfectly - still slightly too small. On the packaging, the sizing chart lists corgis in "Medium" and retrievers and brittany spaniels in "Large", which, in my opinion, wouldn't fit them.My corgi absolutely hates it though, and has managed to wriggle out of it twice, so keep an eye on your dog when he/she is wearing it :)

I had to modify this costume to use it on my dog: there are just 2 thin straps that go under your dogs belly and rib cage, but there is no strap in the front to go around the neck. Without a front strap, the whole costume slides down my dogs body. I sewed on a few more velcro straps (and I added a red cloth between the buns) and it was a hit for Halloween, but I think it left much to be desired in the state it arrived.

It's good quality and thick. Everyone loved it.

Really cheap. Does not have much girth to it. Will not fit my bulldog. They could of put more thought and quality into this product.

I liked this costume a lot, it looked really cute on my Bassett Hound. Seemed a little flimsy but ended up working out really good. Was a hit on Halloween!
