This product EXCEEDED our expectations!!! Many years ago, I had a luscious mink blanket, and given the general deterioration of craftsmanship for all things, I was skeptical that this specific purchase would “wow me;” at best, it would be “warm and comfortable.” What a delightful surprise when my daughter reported that it was exceedingly thick, super soft and soooo snuggly, with a deep pile you could really sink your fingers into. It was very warm as well, with comfort that promotes restfulness and calm. It passed the stand-up-on-its-own test, and was very heavy, which she requires for healthy sleep. (We’d tried a glass bead weighted blanket for its positive pressure and calming effect, and this was a far more satisfying choice.) We LOVE LOVE LOVE this blanket, and I will be purchasing more for friends and family. Worth every penny!!!

My grandmother bought a solaron blanket back in the early days of the company and gifted it to me while I was in college. I wasn't fond of the pattern but the softness and warmth overpowered the aesthetics. That blanket is now around 16-18 years old and is just NOW getting worn out. I decided to purchase a replacement from the same company as the other faux mink blankets I've bought couldn't match the quality or comfort of my solaron blanket. The blanket I purchased arrived in a plastic zipper case. I immediately looked for the wash instructions and placed it in the washer. The blanket I purchased is king sized. It's very large, heavy, and doesn't quite fit my standard sized washing machine so I'll need to use the laundromat next time I wash it. Otherwise it's thick, warm, and gives a similar anxiety relief to the $100 weighted blanket I received a few years ago. I got the wolves pattern and the color did not diminish at all after the first wash. Very little lint was caught in the lint catcher on my dryer, and I had to send it through 3 cycles to fully dry. I have a small obsession with blankets due to one saving my life as a small child, so I am willing to pay for a quality blanket. The only complaint I have is the fact I won't be able to wash it at home, but the positives greatly outweigh this one drawback. I fully recommend any blanket from Solaron.

I have been trying to find a San Marcos blanket for a while now, but sadly they stopped making them over a decade ago. If you are looking for something as close as possible to a San Marcos blanket, then this is the blanket for you. It’s soft and heavy- but not too heavy. It will keep you warm for those who are always cold, but perfect for those like me who prefer to sleep in cooler temperatures, but also have to sleep with a blanket. It is definitely worth the cost.

Luxurious and heavyweight. Very thick blanket. This is not at all like the thin junk fleece blankets you'd find at walmart. Made very well. I gave this to my son for his birthday and he absolutely loves it. So do our cats, they are always snuggled up on it because it's so soft & warm. We live in a northern state that has brutal winters and this blanket will keep you toasty. I will likely purchase more for my other kids. I wish there were more designs offered, but that is a small complaint that won't hinder me from buying another.

This blanket is very soft and cuddly. despite being weighty it doesn't feel heavy when you are wrapped with it. it is not nearly as warm as i had expected. it is made of 100% polyester according to the tags, made in vietnam.

Big enough to fit a small cute dainty Queen swimmer/yogi. I love this blanket. It’s not as thick as I thought it would be, but it is heavy. And the colors are gorgeous. I chose the blue deer and king size and it fits my queen size bed very well. It’s heavy, soft and warm. Very happy. Delivery was amazing. It arrived 10 days before the expected date. So fast. California to Canada. No problems. My price was $155. Canadian with delivery by FedEx.

Beautiful blanket. Pretty colours, the design is nice not tacky..( sometimes these blankets can be...um gaudy) they have different tastes in Asia.. good quality. The bad news is that shipping and duty cost more then the blanket. It got hung up in Canada customs and they felt the need to whack a $45 tariff on it. Fortunately it’s so beautiful...so as much as it became very expensive it will last for years. (Our cats really like it)..

It's actually too heavy for use for most of the year and so heavy that it is a problem to launder. It does feel lovely and soft and seems well made. Had I known how very thick it was, I would have opted for something else, however, since I don't live at the North Pole.
