Received today. Completely useless because it doesn’t come with a cord. There is a cord pictured so it didn’t occur to me to inquire. Also, who would want this without a cord? The original battery charger had a cord attached to the unit. So disappointed.Update: I returned the first charger and requested replacement in the hopes that the new one would include the cord. It did! Seems to have charged the battery as intended.

Charges 40V Ryobi batteries. The charger I had from a couple years ago would not work with the newer batteries, so I had to buy a replacement charger. This replacement works with the current model 40V batteries as well as the original batteries from a couple years ago.

Except for not saying "Ryobi" on the top, this looks and works exactly like the Ryobi charger. I like this better than the 'compact' charger that came with my 40-Volt 20-Inch Ryobi Mower. It charges my 40-volt batteries perfectly.

My Ryobi orginal charger malfunctioned after one season. The guy at the battery store said the batteries (2 of them) were just dead. It didn't make sense that both batteries went out at once, so I took a chance and bought this charger and one non-Ryobi battery to go with it. Both work perfectly and I have the immense satisfaction of not giving Ryobi any more of my money! I will likely buy another battery from this company when the first Ryobi battery crashes.

Charger doesn’t last. After a few months it struggles to charge a battery. Haven’t had a full battery in months. We have 3 batteries of various ages and the same result for all 3. Starting a job with a half full battery doesn’t last long; frequent breaks waiting for juice in a battery which I’m sure is deteriorating the life of the battery as well.

The idea of getting a new charger for half the price was great, but unfortunately this stopped working in less than a year’s time. I am now back to a brand name charger.

I bought this last year to replace for my ryobi charger for my blower. I got frustrated with it since I plugged it in n never charged the battery. So my boyfriend trouble shot it n realized the charger doesn’t work with the battery. It claims it does but it really does not. Don’t waste your money on this garbage.
