Take the second bite!
I grew up with these cookies. We made fun of them as kids. They were like rocks. I forgot about them for years—like, five decades— then my cousin gifted me a box. Rocks, yes, but rocks from Heaven. Dip them in milk or coffee or chaw them down hard and naked. Best ginger snap ever! But don’t waste them on children.

A Holiday in your mouth - Highly recommend
I am a Gingerbread Fanatic. Although these are different in that they are crisp, not the soft, chewy kind of Gingerbread Man some are used to, they have an excellent taste. After eating five of them, I had to put the box away. The box nicely has two individual sealed tubes. These have an excellent taste, and the spice profile leaves your mouth warm. Highly recommend.

a childhood memory
I was born and grew up in Philadelphia and one of my favorite treats was ginger snaps by Sweetzels. After moving down south I did not find anything to come close. Very happy to reconnect with this treat

a hard-candy texture and lots of spice - really liked them
As far as store-bought gingersnaps, I tried the top(?) three most popular brands and enjoyed these the most for their extra hard texture. I'd describe the cookie has almost hard to bite through because of a sort of hard-candy-like aspect of the high molasses content, and because they are as thick as a regular cookie they are hard, rather than a light crispy snap like some thinner gingersnap cookies. It depends on what you're looking for - I found this harder bite to be a pleasant surprise, and also really enjoyed the extra 'spice' profile, which seemed to be more of a mix of spices than just a concentration of ginger and cinnamon - which I presume is why they are called spiced wafers instead of ginger snaps.I gave them four out of five stars, because they are still store-bought cookies at best, they are not home-made, which is the standard I judge by. A cookie that reaches the taste and texture of home-made could achieve 5 stars, but any bakery or packaged cookie that still has that typical limitation of common store-bought qualities is not going to rate 5 stars for me.

Cookies are not fresh
I brought these cookies because they used to be the best. These cookies expiration date is November 27th. I received on September 14. These cookies are always nice and crisp. Not these two boxes. I can bend them to a certain point. Not crisp and I would have to say due to the point their expiration date is November. So disappointing. This will be my last purchase on this brand I used to look forward to. Definitely not worth the money this year. The very disappointed Philly girl living in Florida now.😩
