Impressively fast and capable of handling most games.
if this machine is anything to go by, thenew Ryzen processors are fantastic. The configuration of components make this machine lightening quick in gaming and an excellent laptop for general tasks.Like most gaming laptops, it can run rather loud and hot. I had read concerns from reviews before buying this that the route of airflow through the internals could have been designed better, in order to keep the machine cooler but I haven't come across any issues so far, and the addition of a laptop cooling pad makes this a non-issue for me. The keyboard never seems to get anything more than mildly warm. The keys themselves feel good to use with a decent amount of travel and a satisfying click. As most laptops of this size, the full size keyboard feels rather packed into the available space, but i would rather that than having the keypad missing. The asthetic seems a little confused; an understated exterior look and brushed metal finish gives a professional look to any passerby but a glance of the interior RGB lighting and angular lines betrays its gamer roots. I really don't mind this but feel this is personal preference.Brilliant so far and with the wait for the new generation of AMD mobile processors.

Excellent performance on most games.
It’s a great for my university work like CAD and the different programmes. But the performance on different games blew me away. It’s can get a bit noisy.

A solid laptop but cheap Wi-Fi card
This laptop is a great little machine and will run games on high settings easily on the 15 inch screen. Not too much bloatware just the asus software package which like most is now a single all in one app.But be warned - the Wi-Fi cards used on these are cheap pieces of junk. The realtek 8822ce chips are known for having connectivity/latency issues (look them up online) particularly after periods of usage. I have already noticed this and will be replacing the Wi-Fi card myself. (they are cheap)If you do not know what you are doing and do not want the hassle/extra cost I would move on. Alternatively you could buy a good USB network adaptor and use that as your source of Wi-Fi.If you are tech savvy enough to replace the card and are looking for a small light weight, well built laptop to run your games on the go then it's not a bad buy by any means.

Powerful gaming laptop with awesome performance
I would give this laptop five stars however the wireless card is very poor I keep having to reset it to get connection. It will have connectivity issues randomly, thankfully its not all the time. The laptop will sometimes sleep when I close the lid even though I have it set to do nothing and its plugged into my monitor. The mousepad is at times unresponsive. The fans make alot of noise and the airflow is big so requires space around the back for ventilation, perhaps to be expected with a high spec machine. Other than that this laptop is excellent, super powerful for gaming, watching media and doing multiple tasks, the graphics are fantastic. I decided to get a monitor, keyboard and mouse to go with it for a more comfortable desk set up, I’d recommend this, but still having the portability of a laptop is very handy. The laptop case is strong sturdy and of durable materials. The battery life is excellent even just charging it to 60% will last for hours depending on the task off the charge. Having a light up keyboard is a nice touch, the keyboard of the laptop seems of good quality with a nice feel to the keys. The inbuilt speakers are basic although much better than most cheaper laptops I’ve had in the past. Just a few small niggles with this fine gaming laptop otherwise its excellent.

Two faults in two months
This looked like a really good laptop but the screen went black within two months of purchase. So I sent it back for repair. Apparently they changed the motherboard. It has just arrived back with a working screen but one of the usb ports doesn't work. So either they haven't plugged it back in or they have damaged the port whilst repairing it. It's very frustrating as I now have to send it back to be repaired. It really isn't filling me with any confidence that this laptop will last. I wish there was the option to get my money back but Amazon have said as it's over 28 days they won't refund.
