SRPE15 Automatic Watch for Men - Presage Collection - Jewel Green Patterned Dial with Date Calendar, Gloss Finish - 50M Water Resistant

Have two other Seiko watches, purchased one while in the Army, other was given to me by my wife. This watch is a beauty, dark green face, depending on the lighting it may appear black. Very handsome watch and now my favorite, also at an excellent price. I have a small wrist so will have to adjust the fit! Could not be happier with this watch!

My hubs has dark brown hair and eyes, looks good in everything earth tone, so this was the perfect watch for him. The dial looks amazing in and out of sunlight. It’s truly a well made timepiece, and one that’s a great starter watch for a future collection. He couldn’t take his eyes off it the first night. And wore it out immediately. He leaves his Apple Pro Watch (which cost him more than double this watch) at home now most days because he can’t stop wearing this. Also. I found adjusting the wristband very easy. I did it on my own with some good YouTube videos. But if you don’t feel comfortable, most watch repair places or jewelry stores will do it for you for less than $20.

The Mockingbird Cocktail Time is a beautiful watch with the dial being the main feature. I’m lucky enough to have the blue version as well - the blue moon. Having a large wrist, I would not normally wear a watch just over 40 mm, but as the bezel is so thin and the dial is 35 mm it looks fine on a larger wrist. The blue version looks much better in photos, but this is my favourite depending on my mood. The Mockingbird can look multiple shades of green, grey, or black, depending on the light. It’s a chameleon which is its attraction. My wife’s favourite colour is blue but surprisingly she likes this more than the blue moon because of its ever changing subtle colours. Polishing job is good for the price and the bracelet suits the watch perfectly, but you can always change to a leather band if you wish. I like the larger signed crown. All Presage watches are made in Japan. 4R35 is an entry level Seiko mechanical movement, but as usual Seiko under promises and over delivers on accuracy. The bracelet has half links, but otherwise there’s no micro adjustment. This bracelet has pins rather than screws which some people don’t like. Screws can come undone and pins never do. Seiko uses a very small collar. Be careful, because the sleeve or collar is very small - don’t lose it. I have two Cocktail Time watches. One there is a tiny shelf to stop the collar falling through the pin when resizing, the other has a collar that falls through the link. This must be something Seiko changed in manufacturing process. They are both legit but the one that falls through is a little more of a pain to resize. Just be careful. The price is good, delivery was fine, communication was good with the supplier. No issues there. Watch has a hardlex crystal. Some people are unhappy that it’s not Sapphire, but it’s a box crystal, and box crystals are very expensive to manufacture versus flat or curved sapphire. Box sapphire would dramatically change the price. I’ve had no problems with hardlex. Seiko uses boron to harden their mineral crystal but hardlex is softer than sapphire crystal. A beautiful watch for the price. Edit: Amazon specifications say this is 14mm depth. It is 11.7mm. They also say it’s 100m water resistant - it’s 50m

I really wish the color of the dial was bit lighter. It looks almost black unless it is bright sun. The fit is good and I have a larger wrist. Looks like a quality time peice.
