Not your usual Keen shoe.
I had ordered my usual size 9 (in fire brick) as all my other keen shoes are. But this shoe was defiantly 1/2 size too big, even with a wool sock. The leather is beautiful but very stiff. Inside the right shoe where the tongue is sewn by the laces, had a bean size, hard and painful lump. Returning them.I did like color, the leather and the look of them, enough to order a size 8.5.We’ll see.I can’t say I would recommend them as yet.Update to original post..... I have received the size 8 1/2 pair. They size is perfect this time. However the stitching on the inside (as before) right side where the bottom of the shoe tongue and bottom shoelace hole meet is the roughed, most painful bulge of leather and stitching thread I have ever see in a shoe before!!! I don’t get it. It’s in the left shoe also, jut not as large. These really are the cutest oxfords and the color red I’d beautiful.Sadly, Keen really missed on this one.I am going to contact Keenfootwear. ASAP

What an awesome shoe...but...
I absolutely love Keene shoes. I love these shoes, but am still a bit concerned. It's been more than a month and that troubling issue that other's have reported still crops up. At first, both shoes were painful at the side of the shoe--just above the toes. It's like the stitching there doesn't want to "give." My left shoe has completely stopped hurting, but the right shoe starts the "burn" after a bit of walking around. I bought them when I did so I'd have time to break them in for a big family vacation at the end of this month. They feel fantastic until I've walked around a while--maybe after half hour-to-an-hour. I still have 3 weeks 'til our trip--hoping this resolves.UPDATE: It’s been a few more weeks, so I want to update. These shoes are awesome. Best shoes I’ve ever had for sure! I can walk miles and still stay in them the rest of the day. Wish the break-in had been easier, but the discomfort was worth it to have these awesome shoes.

Keen shoes have changed
We have worn Keen shoes for years. However, the last couple of purchases we have come to realize that something in the Keen manufacturing process has changed, and they're not the same shoes. We loved Keen's for the fit and durability, especially for wide feet. The last couple of purchases have been disappointing. I ordered these shoes in the same size I always wear for keen shoes and they were too loose in the heel and too narrow in the toe box. They appear to be well constructed yet, but obviously, since I couldn't wear them, I can't speak to their durability. Sad that I can't keep them, I did like the style, but the fit is off.

I love my Keens
I normally wear the Presidio style and ran across the Kaci II oxford...I love them. I would say they are a bit bigger...my old shoes were a size 9 and that's what I ordered this time. But it's not enough to worry about. Great style...I love them.

Great Shoes
Keen makes the most comfortable shoes out there, and these do not disappoint. They are of great quality, sturdy and very comfortable. They are just slightly bigger than my other Keens, but are great with a pair of thick socks.

Not comfortable
I'm a big fan of Keen's shoes, mostly their hiking shoes because they use softer materials. I use to wear their presidio style, probably when they first came out with them. I love their styles but they might as well be making these smooth leather shoes out of wood. I also, recently bought the kaci slide in brindle/inca gold. This one is a softer leather and the fact it's a slip on makes it ok. If you like wooden shoes these are perfect! If you like your feet to bend then stay away from these!

Great shoe....BUT
I was looking for a sturdy shoe for gardening and general wear with jeans, this fit the bill perfectly. BUT I cannot wear them--the seam at the toe box cuts in to my little toe and makes them unwearable. I've tried wearing them 3 times with different socks, hoping the crease would ease or soften--to no avail. I love my other Keens. Unfortunately I purchased these in the summer, did not wear until fall-and the return window has closed. If the seller can offer me any options I would be very grateful!

Great shoe
So far, so good. I ordered these shoes a half size larger than I normally wear and I am glad I did. Gives my toes plenty of room. I love the roomy toe box! You can hardly find a shoe like that. They are a little stiff and I don’t think I’ll be sneaking up on anyone for a bit. That may change with wear (I’ve only worn them four times).
