SEA DOGLine 420855-1 Resettable Circuit Breaker with Cover , 50 Amp,black/gray

I use this circuit breaker with a trolling motor. A few weeks ago I fried the wires of my motor trolling when the propeller got wrapped up in the weeds. I bought this product to stop my motor from drawing too much power from the battery. I haven't had to reset the breaker yet, but when I do, I know I won't get stranded in the middle of the lake like last time. It is fairly simple to connect the wires and to tape or glue the circuit breaker where you want it. It can be difficult to get the cover to fit nicely over the wires once attached, but its not a big deal. I'm happy with this product and I'm glad I won't fry my motor again.

I ended up purchasing 3 of these for connecting inline with trolling motors. They are really easy to hook up. The terminals are marked for which hook up to what. The red rubber case it a perfect fit. I would however recommend snipping the lines on the top cover to match where your wires are coming out of for the best fit. I've hooked two of these up so far and they are working without any issues. The reset button is not covered by the red rubber cover you can still get to it. The little nubs on top are were your terminal screws stick into the rubber cover which keeps it firmly in place.

Tested several times, and it worked much better than other 50 amp breakers I was using for an electric canoe project.The little plastic cover they provide functions OK, but is not a solid fit, you can tell it was added later as an afterthought to make the product "water-resistant". In spite of me knocking a star off the review for that cosmetic element, I will buy more of these when I need a 50 amp, resettable breaker for my boats.

I've bought a bunch of these over time for both boating and RV usage (I dislike fuses, especially in odd locations). Never had a problem with this brand. I do have two minor beefs with them. The first is that they don't off a dual tab setup to keep them from pivoting. That's solved with a drop of glue or silicon. The second is that you have to watch both how you put the cover on and route the wiring. Otherwise it will be difficult to get the reset button.But I still give them 5 stars as I will be ordering more.

Really did the trick for a finicky electric lift on my camper. Easy to install. Can highly recommend

On a trolling motor, why take any chance with the circuit? Super easy install. works with the rapid draw a 35LB trolling motor demands without tripping. No need to have an inline glass fuse. I did get hoop crimp on connectors which makes the installation look a lot neater. The rubber cover should make it legal for boat electrical in terms of USCG inspections.

The reset button doesn't have a solid feel to it. Bought it but didn't use it

I went to about 5 auto stores and Walley World to try and find an in line Circuit breaker for my trolling motor and could not find one. I was so glad I found this because the ones I did find, that I would have to modify to make work were almost 4 times the price. Thank God for Amazon!!!. This is a lot better than a fuse as I do not have to carry extra fuses for my trolling motor, just flip the switch if it blows and I am on my way again I am going to purchase another one just to have, Hey, it give me a reason to by another trolling motor and if I do that I will have to buy another boat. At least that is how I am going to explain it to the wife when she comes home and see's another boat in the driveway.

Bought it for my trolling motor on my boat. Seems to work fine. It hasn't tripped yet.
