Don't waste your money on this Kona Coffee Beans by Imagine its horrible and stale, there is no smell or taste. I have roasted coffee for 8 years, and can tell when making a pour over it didn't perk, like fresh coffee. You would be much better getting a fresh roasted coffee beans from a good roaster and enjoy a proper brewed cup. This coffee would no way pass a taste score of 95 as stated on printed packaged , Ive had Kcup coffee that can easy do better than this coffee.This is going to the trash!!!

I am somewhat a coffee connoiseour. I normally buy my coffee from local roasters who order green coffee from around the world.I thought I would treat myself to the best kona coffee online, so I bought this 8 ounce bag of peaberry coffee from Imagine. Yea, imagine my surprise!Upon opening the bag, I smelled it. There was nothing special in the aroma other than faint regular coffee smell...nothing like my locally roasted beans.Next, I ground my coffee fairly course, put it in my french press, then pured enough water in to allow it to bloom. There were no bubbles to indicate freshness. Stale!After fully brewing, I tasted it. It was comparable to Folgers or other store brands, most likely because it is FAR from being fresh.I had ordered Imagine before and it was pretty good, but this time not at all!!!I am returning this product if possible.No, I can not recommend this coffee. You would truly fo better to find a local coffee roaster in your area and pay far less. I pay $12 for a pound of the best coffees Ive had by FAR!!

I have tried a few of the 100% Kona coffees sold through Amazon. All of them are not bad, but sometimes I have found that the quality varies. The Kona Coffee Beans by Imagine that I purchased have been great. They seemed fairly fresh and have produced a very good cup of coffee. I would recommend this coffee for your purchase. I have been to Hawaii one time and had the opportunity to drink a cup or two of Kona Coffee from a veranda overlooking the coffee bushes. A cup of Kona Coffee by Imagine reminds me of that day. It was a good day.

Now I'm in trouble. I've found the best coffee I've ever tasted. So what's the trouble, you might ask? It's nearly $50 per pound! I haven't tried to figure the cost of a cup yet but it's gotta be less than Starbucks, not that I ever go there. It's just hard to go back to what I was drinking. It's so good I'm half tempted to drink the grounds at the bottom of the cup.

I inquired where on the packaging it states this is indeed the Extra Fancy. Although the packaging does not indicate it, the vendor has replied to my question stating it is. I would prefer to have it posted someplace on the packaging as most other Kona Coffee packages have "100% Kona Coffee" and "Estate" on the packaging yet they are not Extra Fancy.With that said, lets talk about this coffee. Wow, this is outstanding coffee and could tell right after opening the packaging.The beans had a rich aroma and very shiny. You can see the flavor and richness still locked in the beans. The first thing is to eat a couple of beans. These had great flavor and the beans were not dried out. Usually tossing a few beans in my mouth requires a mouth full of water to wash them down as its like chewing on hay, but not these.My quest for great coffee has sent me down the Kona path a few months back. I have purchased the different Kona coffees from different vendors and this is the only one that has delivered the beans as they should which is to not be dried out and have some of the oils (which have much of the flavor) visible. In fact, this is the only vendor with whom I have actually made a 2nd purchase. This time I am getting the larger size. Hopefully they will include another sample of the chocolate covered peaberry beans. hint hint.The price is high but I tend to only drink coffee 2-3 times a week so the price isn't that much of a factor.

We're longtime fans of Kona coffee. Always look for a bargain as the prices has escalated over the years so that now it's usually a prohibitive cost. Heard a lot about Imagine in the cuppers ratings. It is a "medium dark roast" which is usually not the best for bringing out the flavors in extra fancy Kona. It was a bit too dark for our taste... which seemed burnt, not just toasty. But it's just a minor defect, given that other outstanding characteristics still make this a very good coffee. The beans did appear to be extra fancy grade, and we got this at a very good price for that level of quality. If you like the strength of the extra roasting, you'll probably give this 5 stars. But we were one-star disappointed.

Not the best 100% kona, but they go on sale a lot, so I get them and mix them with better beans for a decent, but less expensive kona cup.

Didn't like. Poor bitter taste without aroma. I have bought 100% Kona coffee in Hawaii during one year while I lived there and that coffee tasted completely different.

So smooth! To ground your own beans...the aroma is superb. This coffee is worth every penny. It's my favourite and if I could afford it ,it would always be my first choice.....so I " eek " it out...and ask friends to bring it back from Hawaii!!!
