This is such a cool and unique kitchen mat. It is actually more than just a mat. It can be fold into a variety of positions. And because it is bendable steel covered in silicone it will hold whatever position you bend it into. The silicone is heat resistant (up to 428 F / 220 C degrees) so you can leave the mat flat and use as a trivet to place hot pans and dishes on. You can bend it to form a bowl to hold fruit, eggs, vegetables, and more. Bend it to make a stand, to hold a recipe book, to hold the mail, to hold napkins, as a rack to dry glasses and bottles. There are so many possibilities. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived that it is larger and thicker than I thought it would be., It's almost 11 1/2 inches in diameter and almost 1/2 an inch thick. It's easy to clean with just soap and water or dishwasher. I have mine in the fridge with eggs in it, it looks pretty and is functional. It's also freezer safe. I absolutely love this. It came packed so nicely and I love the packing it was in .The casatii multii purpose foldable silicone is silicone coated over stainless steel. You can take it and put it in any shape you want. It is so easy to bend what ever direction you want. I put a hot plate right out of the oven and it worked amazing. It was so easy to clean just wash with warm soapy water or put on top rack of dishwasher..I was actually having fun bending it in different shapes.
