Ivation 12 Bottle Compressor Wine Cooler Refrigerator

Got this refurbished which was new with a side dent. Looked great and great savings. Compressor coolers are so much longer lasting than thermoelectric. This one does need a lot of open space on sides and back. It does have a mirrored front, with a bottom lock and two keys. Has light and control buttons on front. Seals well. make sure you have it sitting upright for 3 hours or more before starting in case the coolant was not settled during transport. Does have a little sound when cooling, I have it under a small counter near a corner so it does echo more, but easy to ignore, and once it cools it goes silent for a while. Temps seem very close to settings. Love this cooler, hope it lasts. Will update if any issues, but if I have not updated then rest assured it is still working.

What to do with a 10 inch gap in my wet bar cabinetry that formerly housed an unsightly plastic trashcan? How about a 10 inch wide wine fridge?! I am still gobsmacked that this thing fit just perfectly into the space. It looks great and a couple months in is functioning very well. It is whisper quiet, looks great, and keeps the contents chilled within a 5 degree range (compressor kicks in when it hits 5 degrees above the set temp. Cuts off when it gets back to the set temp). I cut some ventilation holes in the back sides of the cabinets to get some airflow so it doesn't overheat. I've pulled it out a couple times to check the temp by the compressor and it seems fine. Win for the wet bar! 12/2025: 4 years on and still working great. Whisper quiet and holds its temperature.

This is a very attractive wine cooler in a difficult to f ind size. However, I may need to return because the LED light is so bright it may be something I can’t live with. It’s quite unpleasant. Such a shame that such a small thing could ruin it. I’m going to contact the manufacturer to see if there’s any way to turn it down or off or anything like that but I’m not hopeful about that. Very disappointing !!!

I love that I found this fridge to be the right size for the space I had. It works great! You just have to be patient when putting the bottles inside. Since it's small, you have to fit the bottles in according to their size.

A wine cellar located off the basement is great, but the trek there and back is not ! This cooler was of an ideal size to fit a nook in my kitchen and here it now sits. Set-up was easy (I loved the suggestion to use a ball on top if you don't have a level !). Set the temp at 55 degrees F (the almost universally accepted temp for wine storage - it is close to the natural temperature of the cellars of the Great European Vineyards). It has held that temp perfectly. Noise is minimal but not totally absent (there are few compressors that are 'noiseless'). Some reviewers complain about the inability to handle larger bottles ( Champagne, etc). That is true and if you plan to keep a supply of bubbly on hand you will need a different cooler or be prepared to remove a rack. Will be back with a report an longevity in the future. 06/17/20 I continue to be very happy with this little gem. One piece of advice. DO NOT leave empty shelves in the cooler. They will vibrate in tune with the compressor and drive you crazy! Keep them on top of the wine cooler and use them as needed ! Do this and you will hardly know the cooler is there. Temperature stability has been excellent.

It would be a great product if it worked. We moved this into our new home letting it set as recommended overnight........plugged it in the next day.......and after it cooled down.......put wine in. Great......yahoo......UNTIL......the next morning.......temperature showed as 78........yes, everything was warm. We unplugged and let it set to try to reset, plugged it back in, condenser started up.........and stopped. The only reason for 1 star is it is a beautiful product if it worked. I am so disappointed........and not even sure if I can send it back as we tossed the box with our other moving boxes. Follow-up: After contacting Amazon tech support and the Ivation support/customer service.......I was told I had a defective unit and to contact warranty for a replacement unit.........but, as the units were defective, replacements would not be available until mid-July. I sent the e-mail as instructed with no response.........and have sent a follow-up. It is mid-July........and I have received no unit or response. So, did I just pay all this money for a shelf instead of a cooler? After still receiving no response with another follow-up e-mail to the warranty department........I called today. I will not be receiving a replacement and they are processing a refund. I guess I will be looking elsewhere for a wine cooler.

This wine cooler froze up twice, the second time we defrosted it, it stopped working. But when I called Ivation customer support I reached a human being quickly, she was lovely to talk to, and she gave me instructions for getting a replacement cooler. That’s the best customer service I have encountered in years! Well done, Ivation!

My Wine Cooler came double boxed from Amazon. Perfect Condition! Holds temperature well. Very quiet, runs less that 2 minutes and the temperature is back down to the hold temperature. Happy so far - it is not built for Champaine size bottles. I just removed one of the shelfs to make it fit. Yes, I would purchase it again.

Great wine fridge. It keeps the temperature and it’s not noisy at all. Don’t hesitate, it’s a great product.

The door was not aligned with the top and no adjustments. I’ve returned it and bought a new one in the black, so if it is not aligned it will not look as bad. It also says the bottom must be 2” off the ground, but the feet do not adjust that high. Otherwise this seems like a good product.

Worked fine for 2 years with no issues and stopped working all together. Very disappointed. :(
