Started eating the black pearl rice as a salad and I am addicted

I bought this because I wanted my teen son to experience the horror of having mouse droppings in his room. I eagerly awaited the delivery, soaked the rice a bit to make it a bit soggy and left little bits of it around his room. Near the bin, near the socks and underwear, near the rubbish that hadn't made it to the bin. He didn't even notice and wasn't bothered at all. As rice though, it's nice.

Good for lower carbs

needs more cooking time, I used a rice cooker, will use sauspan next good flavor good cheweyness

Can't find black rice in supermarkets so ordered on line knowing nutritional benefits albeit a bit expensive. Soak over night in fridge and rinse well (as water becomes very dark red) then boil for about half an hour or less in salted water till soft or Al dente, then rinse again to discard coloured water. Lovely nutty flavour, so nice and different. Because it takes longer than white rice I cook a large pan full then freeze in small bags when cool. Freezes very well and handy to use as needed once defrosted.

Cook this black rice and taste good. Aroma is like black glutinous rice. Also is better than brown rice. Worth the buy. Stomach do not feel bloated unlike white rice.
