LOVE IT !
I LOVE it !! I made an espresso with this pod with the highest scepticism but man was I very pleasantly surprised or WHAT !I never liked the flavour of pod coffee, I just used it for convenience & " froth" & strength. The mokka pot doesn't give froth to the espresso !Anyway, I ground fresh beans, filled the reusable pod with the coffee, fitted the espresso filter et voilà! The intensity, the flavour & the little espresso froth on the top - it made the perfect espresso! I'm loving it. I'm also saving a tonne on capsules now which- I don't know are filled with what kind of coffee ! So I can now just use any beans I like & it will make the PERFECT espresso !Fits my machine perfectly too. I'm ordering the pack of 2 now. I can't wait to try this with more types of coffee / beans. Suddenly my machine is much posher, hehe.Thank you for making the product & I'm LOVING it !So pleased !

Mixed but overall positive.
Having received a Dolce Gusto machine late last year, I found myself spending a lot on capsules, so I decided to try and find a reusable pod. I didn't want plastic (worried about microplastics), and this one seems to be from a brand with a website, so grabbed it.First couple of times, it produced horrible, weak, watery coffee. Until I realised, you NEED to tamp HARD. Much harder than you'd expect. Once I figured this out, it genuinely started pouring some really nice espresso, with foam at the top and everything. Just don't let it run too long, or you get the wateryness. It's a bit tricky to line up in my machine, and it's gotten stuck once, but not a big deal. The only real sticking point is that it's a pain to prep and wash each time! And I've even found myself occasionally going back to capsules. All in all, it's worth it, especially if you enjoy a good espresso (or double). Just remember to tamp HARD.

It made MY perfect cup of coffee.
I've used the plastic reusable pods in the past - I'm sure most of you know of them and I wasn't particularly impressed. Yes, they made coffee but it wasn't really good coffee. On the other hand, this one delivered the promise straight out of the box - a beautiful cup of coffee with a lot of foam that settled down to a nice frothon top, a really professional job and within minutes of opening the box, I was convinced I had bought the right thing. I'm lookin forward to see what the espresso filter achieves.

Doesn’t last, now stuck in the machine.
Was good for a few months when used irregularly but recently had issues with it getting stuck in the machine (dolce gusto genio+). I noticed the little metal filters have bent too, and had issues with water spraying out of the machine left right and center. Not sure if I’ve a faulty one as it seems to have good reviews but overall I’m disappointed with life span.

Such a grind for a perfect cup.....
So I wanted to be more economical because I've been buying Dolce Gusto pods a ton over my furlough period. I had heard through a friend about reusable pods. I came on Maazon and found that this one looked quite a well put together pod more so than the plastic cheap looking ones out there.I received the order as promised and followed an online YouTube video but when trying it with normal ground coffee the coffee came out quite watery tasting. So I thought to myself it must be because I'm not using the right type of coffee. I bought Espresso coffee beans for the ultimate freshness and once again tried it. At first I thought I had ground the beans too fine as the water would not pass through the pod and caused a thick blockage inside it. So I ground them much less so and the coffee just tasted watery again. So I ground them inbetween and this time the water was splaying everywhere through the funnel of the pod. Can't say I'm totally happy with this product and has been very hard to get the right grind size just to get a similar coffee to that of an actual Dolce gusto pod. It has left me hesitant to continue using this pod.

Who in their right mind prefers the incipid wasteful off the shelf pods.
My wife won the dulce gusto machine in a raffle, it came with all the friends drink pods, and my god I was dissapointed with the drinks. none of them taste like coffee and the worst bit is they're mostly milk powder and instant coffee! they have to be the most expensive way to drink rubbish instant coffee going. This little beauty though, allows you to make something that tastes like an espresso. Sure James Hoffman would certainly be able to pick the differences between what this addition to a duslce gusto allows the machine to produce and what a high end machine can produce.Don't attempts to pull a long shot you'll end up with bad tasting coffee. Make a nice small espresso, if you want a bigger drink add hot water rather than allow the machine to continue to fill the cup.Run hot some water throught he machine before you make your drink, this will get rid of any cold water in there. I add 7 grams of freshly ground coffee to my baskett in order to make a single espresso. I have to say the machine allowed it to produce an pretty decent espresso for the budget, I have certainly had a lot worse in cafe's.I have also had much better in esspresso bars with really fancy machines, and the absolute best beans, ground with the best grinders, however, I don't have the budget for that every day not the counter top to have that kind of kit at home. This allows me to enjoy a small strong coffee without the endless plastic in the oem instant coffee pods!If you don't get the results you would expect try different coffee, drifferent grinds and different amounts of water through the baskett till you find what you like.

Be Careful With The Strainer.
Good quality stainless pod. Care needed not to lose the strainers when emptying out the used coffee grounds. The strainers are not fixed to the pod.
