Plug 'N Play for Windows 10 and Ubuntu Linux 20.04
Update Jan 25th, 2023 So I've had this card for a few years now and it just keeps working. I continue to be happy with my purchase and did in fact purchase a second for another machine. Adding some comments: -- Am now running Ubuntu Desktop 22.04.1 LTS -- Linux Kernel 6.1.8 -- Continue to get highest wifi speeds my Internet Service & WiFi router deliver -- Bluetooth continues to be flawless Every Linux Kernel upgrade has been flawless and there has been zero issues with compatibility for this card and Ubuntu Linux. Same for Windows 10 with latest updates 2H2022 and Windows 11. Highest wifi speeds and bluetooth connectivity continue to work as expected. Update Nov. 25th, 2021 -- Confirmed works perfectly with Ubuntu Linux 21.04 and 21.10. Card was picked up seamlessly. -- Confirmed works with Linux Kernel 5.15 also. -- Works with Windows 10 21/H2 update perfectly. -- Windows 11 also picked up the card and installed it with no issues. Summary: If you're looking for a WiFi & BlueTooth card that'll work seamlessly out of the box for Linux up through 21.10 and Windows 11, you should consider this WiFi card. I continue to be very satisfied with having purchased my first of two almost two years ago now. It's been rock solid. Update June 30th, 2021 I ordered and installed my second of this card in my Linux Server. Works flawlessly! Works with Linux 21.04 perfectly. It also works with Win10 and the new Win11 Preview Edition. You will not regret buying this card. ** Update June 22nd, 2021 ** This card works on Ubuntu Linux 21.04 with Linux Kernel 5.12.xx flawlessly. If you're a Linux user and are looking for a stable, reliable Wifi card -- this is it. I've been running with it for over a year now and have gone through several Ubuntu Linux version upgrades and numerous Linux Kernel updates all flawlessly. I've experienced zero issues with this Wifi card. If you're a Linux user, rest assured this Wifi card works well. Now my original review of this card: I purchased this card after reading reviews that stated it works with Ubuntu Linux 20.04 as that is the desktop I run. Ubuntu 20.04 w/kernel 5.4.x picked up the card and installed it right away. Did not have to locate a driver online, compile and install manually. It just worked. Just for giggles, I popped in a separate SSD and performed an Ubuntu 20.04 install from scratch to see if the install would recognize it. It did. Saw the card, I selected it, put my WiFi password in and off the install went, downloading updates as well. If you're looking for a blazing fast WiFi card for Ubuntu 20.04 - this is absolutely it. No muss, no fuss, it just works. I also have a Windows 10 boot disk in this computer so I booted Win10 to see if it'd pick up the card automatically - and it did. No surprise there. Conclusion: Solid WiFi card for Ubuntu Linux 20.04 and up to kernel 5.4.3 Same for Windows 10. I may buy another just to have a spare. Update June 3, 2020: I'm noticing some reviewers are reporting that the Bluetooth works for them but the WiFi does not. There's a simple explanation for this: you're installing the card in the wrong slot on your motherboard. The Bluetooth gets its power from a separate connection (USB) on the motherboard, thus the "bluetooth works, wifi doesn't" reviews. Before returning the card as "defective" please make sure you install the card in the proper slot first. If in doubt, it should be the slot closest to the processor (on many motherboards.) Hopefully this helps those who purchase the card and don't know the difference between the "short" and "long" slots on their motherboards. Update Nov. 6th, 2020: Had this card a few weeks shy of 6 months. So far, working flawlessly. I've updated my Linux Kernel to Ubuntu 5.8 and am having zero issues with this WiFi card. I'm purchasing another to go into a legacy AMD FX-8350 build so I can connect it wirelessly with Linux also. I've also updated my WiFi router to a TP-Link WiFi6 model and the wireless speeds I'm getting back to my router are blazing fast. Fully taking advantage of the 300mb Comcast internet connection I have. Very happy with this adapter.

It Works and Keeps Working
It works. I'm no expert on computer parts quality, so as long as I can mount it properly and it works. I'm a happy man.

MAJOR Difference and a must buy!
Like most, I read the reviews extensively on almost all products dealing with my computer. I got mixed feelings when combing through the reviews for this product. I saw a lot of good reviews and also saw a lot of bad reviews. This made me kind of weary when purchasing this product because it seemed so many people were having problems with getting this NAC to work. Here is my take on this product after installing it yesterday. Installation: 5 Stars The installation for this product was extremely easy. I powered off the entire computer and unplugged the power cord from the power supply. I had a X1 PCIe port on my ASUS B450-F Gaming motherboard and I simply snapped in the card, then tightened the screw on the rear of the computer. That was it. Super simple and not difficult at all. After it was installed, I plugged the power source to the power supply then powered the computer back on. Driver: 5 Stars I saw mixed reviews about the drivers missing or difficult to download. I did NOT have to download drivers for the NAC. When I powered the computer back on it automatically recognized the NAC and showed on my available networks. However just to be sure, I navigated to device manager and ensured it populated in the window. I went ahead and clicked update driver to see if I had the latest and greatest driver and it was already installed. I am running Windows 10 and the drivers were no issue. Ping, Download and Upload: 5 Stars The ping before installing this NAC was ok. I was running about a 25MBps ping and you can play most FPS games. After installation, the lowest ping I received was 13. This is a huge difference from my previous ping and did not experience any lag when playing for extended periods of time. My previous download speeds were around 40MBps which is not bad, but when other people are using the same wifi it can make gaming somewhat difficult. After installing the NAC, my ping went to around 111 to 125 MBps. This is a SIGNIFICANT jump and could tell the difference when playing. Upload speeds held steady around 5.8 to 6 MBps. This didn't change much from my previous setup, but did increase a little. You are able to stream in HD a little better with this upload speed if that is what you are going for. My router is located on the second level of my house and of course if I moved closer I would get even better results. I am pretty content with what I am getting so no need for that. I did play around a little bit between the 5Ghz and 2.5Ghz settings for the driver switching the 802.11 options around, but the default option gave me the fastest speeds for my setup. Bluetooth: 3 Stars This is where the product could improve and where some of the reviews were negative. The supplier needs to elaborate on needing a USB internal slot for the Bluetooth to be functional. I felt this was a downfall of not informing the customer of this and also the NAC not having the capability to draw power from the PCIe slot it is placed in. I only have two slots available on my motherboard and both are occupied for use with my pc. Although, most NACs require the use of the USB port in order for you to use the Bluetooth. I gave 3 stars for the lack of communication from the supplier. I don't have many uses for the Bluetooth except for my gaming mouse, but since I am a FPS gamer I need a more reliable connection. Honestly, if you do not need the Bluetooth stick with the basic option. Bluescreen: I did not experience a BSD (Blue screen of Death) or had to reload Windows. I am not saying that some people did not receive a BSD when installing this product. I think it is very possible that could happen. The software driver installed on the product can and will give you a BSD, but that is not the case with every NAC that they sell. If this happens I suggest doing the following: 1: Click "Start | Control Panel | View Network Status and Tasks | Change Adapter Settings." 2: Right-click "Local Area Connection" if the error occurs when attempting to connect to a wired network. Right-click "Wireless Network Connection" if the error occurs when attempting to connect to a wireless network. 3: Select "Properties" from the context menu. Click "Configure" and then select the "Driver" tab. 4: Click "Uninstall." Click "OK" to remove the network adapter from the computer. 5: Restart the computer. Windows will reinstall the original network adapter to the PC This is an honest review on the product when installed on my computer and using my setup. I did not receive any royalties from this company for writing this review. My purpose is to provide customers like myself a great review to ease the anxiety of purchasing products when there are some grey areas. I would recommend this product to other people for a better experience in overall connectivity with the internet. Overall: This is a great product and as mentioned previously I would recommend to other people looking for a better experience in internet connectivity. This greatly improved my overall connection and I am happy with the product. Is this the best card that you could buy? No, but is a great budget card that will give you a boost. The only drawback is the Bluetooth option and having to occupy a USB internal slot on your motherboard. I believe the manufacturer could develop a more efficient board and also the supplier to elaborate of needing a USB port for the Bluetooth to function.

Plug and Play? Yep!
Debated between USB wifi adaptor or buy a PCIe card. Finally decided to give AC1200 (Archer T5E) card a shot on my old Pavilion desktop with AMD Quad Core running Windows 10 and no wifi. Needed to have a wifi connection now. Picked PCIe slot 2 because it lined up with the best opening to just remove and slide out a bracket cover. Put new one with card in it's place and reused same screw that held old bracket cover. Fired up old the HP, didn't see wifi icon in task bar, but it was in ^ box, dragged it down. Didn't realize I hadn't chosen a network until I ran the PC wifi troubleshooter, duh and bingo. Put in password, good to go. Speed is good, so is stability. I'm no techie, but happy I chose the this TP-Link card over a USB adaptor. ~$20 price right too.

Great way to add BT and WiFi to your desktop PC if you don't have them
Simple, installs easily and nice to have both Bluetooth and WiFi in one card. If you've got a motherboard that does not have BT and WiFi, this is a great solution.

Excellent
Installation was surprisingly straightforward. I just popped it into an available PCIe slot on my motherboard, screwed on the antennas, and after installing the drivers (which were easy to find online), it was up and running. The setup process was a breeze. I'm getting great speeds on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and the connection is stable, even when I'm streaming high-resolution videos or gaming online. I haven't experienced any noticeable lag or dropouts, which was a big concern for me transitioning from a wired connection. The external antennas seem to do a great job at picking up the signal. If you're building a new PC or, like me, you want to get your desktop PC wirelessly connected without sacrificing speed or reliability, this TP-Link AC1200 PCIe WiFi card is an excellent, affordable solution. It's a fantastic way to clean up your setup and still get strong, consistent Wi-Fi performance. Highly recommend it!
