Its coming up 4 years since buying this and its the best tool I've bought! I had 3-4 skin tags and have developed a wart on my hand over the few years. I have one, get rid of it and another formed, damned HPV, they say once you contract it, likely from a public place such as a swimming pool, you have it for life! Anyway, I have successfully burned off the skin tags, within a few days and warts over a week. Get your self a good nail emery board/stick (pack of) to file down the skin area (don't need to do that for the skin tags) but warts you will - and file the area after burning, repeat until it starts to become uncomfortable. I haven't has a wart for a year until recently when I experienced a double verruca on my left foot, about 6mm apart from each other. These have caused me significant pain and issues where I have altered my gate and posture (unbeleivable pain on the foot) and created back issue, knee pain and brusing around the ankle and up the leg. I'm a huge fitness fan, so do alot of sports which has not helped, and tried alsorts of home remedy, sacylic acid plasters, cryo, paint on substance - nothing worked. I then undertook a treatment of SWIFT threapy by a pro podietrist which usually take 3 or more treatments a month apart, I'm unsure if I need more than the one yet, but after the treatment, I started burning the verrucas and then filing them and repeating, leaving them overnight with the paint on solution. The zapper pen has done more than any other treatment, in combo with the SWIFT session I had. I may need more SWIFT but the pen has accelerated this hugely! It works by producing battery powered 'heat sparks' to the area essentially burning the area. It can be painful on certain areas such as skin tags but its not too bad, we all have differing pain thresholds. I suggest do what you can and then leave it, try again next day until you get the result. I've no intention on burning moles and don't agree doing that but skin tags and warts or alike, all fair game. The pen is easy to hold, slightly slippy if your hands are a bit damp, but its well made, has a digital face to show battery level (3 bar max) and the power level 1-10, 1 lowest, 10 highest. Use the levels and increase it according to pain tolerance but also what you are burning. The tips are useless (for me at least) so I only used the one fine tip pointed one and its been on there since I bought it years ago. Don't even know where the others are now. Its still going strong. Battery lasts a while and is easy to charge with the USB A lead but you'll need a plug or usb adaptor.

As I have gotten older I have started to get more skin tags and seborrhoeic warts. Both are benign and can be removed. I looked at chemicals and freezing, but this device appealed to me due to the needle-like precision. It essentially creates a tiny electrical arc that cauterises the upper surface of the skin. The drawback to doing this at home, is you have to be 100% sure what it is you're removing. I went to my GP and they confirmed what they were. I then imaged the areas with a USB microscope to compare to anything that may appear in the future. I removed tags and a seborrhoeic wart from my neck area and they healed perfectly. However, the device failed after doing around 90% of the work, leaving a small untreated area. The seller sent me a replacement device. Recently, I opted to let my GP remove a seborrhoeic wart from my face area. I was expecting 'expert level' removal, but all the GP did was spray on liberal amounts of a foam-based freezing agent, which went all over. So I had 15-20mm of burns to treat a 7mm area. I personally think I could have done a better job with this device. In summary, my device failed after light use (it refused to charge or turn on). So durability is questionable. When it works, it works well and is very precise. I recommend buying a pack of alcohol wipes with it. I imagine if you're clumsy with it, and burn too deeply, you could scar your skin. Having said that, I would hardly class my GP's efforts 'non-scarring'. It's worth noting that I purchased mine at £23 and they are now £13. If you spend £13 on one of these and it only does 2-3 treatments, that's still pretty good value compared to other limited solutions such as freezing agents (which are expensive). I'll continue to use mine but do so in the knowledge that there is a risk attached. If you are intent on the DIY approach, like me, just be sure you know 100% what it is you're tackling.

I wasn't too sure about this tbh, but thought I'd give it a try primarily for a couple of skins tags around my eyes which I didn't think I could use bands on due to the force required to position the bands correctly. Set up is easy, it charges off a USB lead. Using a fine needle on level 3, I worked on the stalk of the first skin tag. There's a spark and a short, sharp prick of pain, but it takes you by surprise (even though you know it's coming) more than actually hurts. Taking it slowly but surely the stalk was kinda burned through and so the bulk of the skin tag was effectively cut off. The area that the stalk had been attached to scabbed over and fell off a few days later. I also tried it on a couple of benign bumps that I felt self conscious of, not very big (one about 3mm, the other maybe 5-6mm) but I wanted them gone. I did the small one first, just slowly burning it away until it was level with the surrounding skin (they were slightly raised). It was a little sore for a few hours, but scabbed over and again a few days later the scab fell off and I'm so very pleased with the results that I felt I had to write a review.

I already own one of these pens but it doesn't hold the charge so I have to keep it plugged in to use, bought this one as it has a spotlight, only the light doesn't work!! The actual pen works, and so far it's charging properly, but why can't I just get one that full works! Anyway these are really easy to use, not too painful, feels like a scratch. I have raised moles on my face, I've removed 4 so far, on number 8. One took 3 goes to get it flat. Just let it heal, give it 2 or 3 weeks before doing it again. I'm so pleased with the result, I was so self conscious before. Would have loved a light though!!!

Mein Gerät funktioniert technisch perfekt. Einschalter lange drücken an oder aus, danach dann kurz drücken und man verstellt die Stufe. Schnell zweimal hintereinander drücken schaltet das Licht ein und aus. Ich habe es nur mit der dicken Spitze getestet. Unter Stufe 6 merkt man fast nix. Erst dachte ich es funktioniert gar nicht, aber es riecht dann wie wenn man eine Mücke im Mückenschläger verbruzzelt... Genau das passiert dann auch mit der Haut. Faszinierend ist aber dass das extrem punktuell begrenzt bleibt, also es dehnt sich keine Hitze irgendwie aus, es wird nur ein ganz kleiner Fleck zerstört, man bekommt keine Brandblasen oder sowas. Das ist auch der Vorteil bei der Behandlung von Dornwarzen: Chemie wirkte bei mir nach Wochen noch kaum bis gar nicht, bzw. man hat ein sehr unangenehmes Brennen und man löst eine viel zu große Fläche Haut dabei auf oder kaputt. Die Pflaster verrutschen ständig usw. und die Warze kommt immer wieder. Was funktioniert ist vereisen, aber da gibt es das Problem, dass man erst 3 Stunden später sieht, wie viel Haut man da wirklich zerstört hat. Wenn man sich an die Anleitung hält, wirkt es zumindest am Fuß mit dicker Haut eh schon gar nicht. Wenn man die Vereisungszeit ausdehnt kann es halt auch sein, dass man es übertreibt und man dann später sehr schmerzhafte Wasserblasen bekommt, weil es viel zu tief ging (dann ist die Warze weg aber schön ist das nicht). Dann muss man auch, wenn die Warze noch klein ist die gesunde haut irgendwie schwierig abdecken (z.b. mit Penatencreme), weil sonst ein viel zu großer Fleck vereist würde... also insgesamt schwierig zu handhaben. Hier kann man ganz punktgenau arbeiten. Man verbruzzelt nur einen ganz winzigen Fleck haut direkt an der Spitze und man kommt auch mit der Spitze natürlich in den Dorn rein. Erstaunlich ist auch, dass es kaum bis gar nicht weh tut, es fühlt sich nur an wie ein leichter Stromstoß und man hat es ganz extrem unter Kontrolle wo man jetzt Haut weg nimmt und wo nicht, weniger als ein mm pro Funken, also man kann extrem genau kontrollieren. Durch die Stufen ist es auch wirklich sehr gut einstellbar wie stark der Funke wird. Nichts dehnt sich nachher weiter aus. An einem Blutschwämmchen hab ich es auch ausprobiert. Da braucht man gar nicht viel da reicht schon Hitze ohne die Haut schwarz zu bruzzeln. Bei mir sehen Mückenstiche schlimmer aus. Schwarze Krusten (wie anderswo beschrieben und ev. bei einer größeren Warze) braucht es da bei mir gar nicht, damit die verschwinden (hab aber nur mini Blutschwämmchen probiert). ______________________ update Muttermal: nachdem ich beim Rasieren ein blödes sehr hoch stehendes Muttermal (ca. 3mm) halb abgeschnitten habe und es super geblutet hat und auch nicht aufhören wollte und nur noch an der Hälfte dran hing und das so jetzt nicht bleiben konnte (ich hätt es ev. ganz runterschneiden können, aber das hab ich mich gar nicht getraut, das hat beim reinschneiden schon gut weh gut getan), habe ich das dann todesmutig mit diesem Mole Pan komplett weg gemacht. Also: man kann damit offenbar auch Blutungen stoppen oder stark vermindern. Allerdings: wenn es feucht ist, funktioniert das verbruzzeln nur noch ganz schlecht, es verbruzzelt nur das Blut und nicht die Haut. Ich musste daher am Anfang ständig das Blut weg trocknen von meinem Schnitt. Ich hab da Stufe 8 nehmen müssen um überhaupt einen nennenswerten Abtrag zu bekommen. Da das Muttermal dummerweise groß war und stark hoch gestanden ist, hat das ganze über eine halbe Stunde gedauert bis der Akku dann auch fast leer war, bis ich so weit unten war, dass die Haut glatt war und ich das Gefühl hatte, dass es jetzt komplett weg ist. Da braucht man viel Geduld. Zwischendurch hab ich (was man laut Anleitung nicht soll) doch die schwarze Kruste weg gemacht, einfach weil man sonst keine Ebene mehr tiefer kommt, was bei einem hochstehenden Muttermal aber irgendwie logischerweise nötig ist. Schmerzen nicht schlimmer, als so ein Stichheiler für Mücken. (das vorher Reinschneiden tat viel mehr weh). Bei so großen Sachen würd ich vorsichtshalber aber dann eine Jodsalbe drauf machen. Brandverletzungen infizieren sich halt schon schnell. zum Thema Falten an den Augen wegmachen: Wer das vor hat, sollte mal ein Muttermal damit weg machen. Und dann schauen wie es danach aussieht. Erstmal hat man längere Zeit einen wirklich roten Fleck, der dann nach Monaten völlig weiß wird. bei mir wird das auch völlig glatt. Aber wenn die Haut gebräunt ist, sieht man eben eine weiße völlig glatte Narbe. Sowas will man sicher nicht am Auge haben.... Man kann irgendwelche Sachen damit gegen glatte weiße Flecken tauschen. die weißen Flecken sind bei mir viel unauffälliger als ein sehr hoch stehendes hässliches Muttermal, wo man in die Hälfte reingeschnitten hat und was total blutet und ein Hautarzt natürlich nur Termine in einem halben Jahr anbietet... Bei den roten Flecken brauchts viel weniger, da kommen bei mir keine Narben. Falten damit wegmachen? da hat man am Ende komische weiße Punkte plus Falten. Würd ich völlig abraten davon, nach meinen Erfahrungen. Es geht nicht in die Tiefe. Die Falten aber schon. Genauso Besenreiser, damit geht das gar nicht weg.

Sedan, efter behandling, använd plåster eller solskyddsfaktor, beroende på var någonstans du behandlar med pennan. Innan behandling kan du exempelvis använda Tapin kräm om du är mycket känslig. Den enda nackdelen är att på vissa ställen kan jag inte göra själv, utan måste få hjälp, som t.ex. på ryggen.
