Bialetti New Venus Italian Coffee Maker (Induction), Stainless Steel, Silver

I bought this to replace my old aluminium coffee percolator and I absolutely love it. I’ve used it every day for a few weeks now and so far there have been no issues although it’s still early days. The stainless steel body just looks so sleek and the chunky handle is a nice ergonomic touch. It is a lot faster at percolating than the aluminium percolator and stays clean inside and out. It percolates without spraying and dribbling like my old percolator and the coffee pours out nicely without dripping. My only criticism is that the edges on the body where the screw thread is are actually quite sharp, my husband and I have both cut ourselves whilst cleaning it just because we weren’t expecting it to be so sharp otherwise, it’s a very nice quality product.

This is my second one of these (First one lasted 5 years) It makes excellent coffee every time. Don't put them in the dishwasher though...my first one would have lasted even longer!

Previously owned an aluminium Bialetti 6-cup Moka pot, whereby I used it on a gas stove. Then I moved into an apartment with an electric induction stove, so my first aluminium Bialetti Moka pot wouldn’t work on an induction stove of course. This 18/10 stainless steel Bialetti Venus Moka makes 10 espresso cups (total 460ml or 15.5 ounces) of hot strong dark-colored coffee …typical Italian style! The device has a good firm build-quality and a nice sturdy weight to it. Looks and feels good. Brew your coffee slowly on a low-heat setting, don’t let the brew boil, remove it from the heat source immediately afterwards (when the spout starts to gurgle and sputter coffee), and use good quality beans. Don’t untwist the top from the base using the handle! Doing that could eventually break the handle off! Use good quality ground beans. Keep this Venus clean by hand-washing …a dishwasher can be used, but I personally wouldn’t recommend it. Respect the Bialetti Venus, and it will last for many years — even when used everyday. Coffee is serious!

The quality of this item is more or less what I was expecting from Bialetti. It brews a good coffee and it works perfectly in my induction hob.The reasons for not giving it 5 stars, however are that the instructions advice you not to put any pressure on the handle when screwing it open or close, but it being a round coffee maker it's almost impossible not using the handle to improve your grip on it, as you have to screw it tight if you don't want any water leaking out of the junction.The other reason is that the filter and silicone seal fall out too easily when cleaning it, compare to the traditional aluminium one. Also mine is bent in, which I don't think it should be, but I haven't noticed any negative effect on how it works because of this.Other than that, very good.

Just right for 2 mugs of coffee. Pours well and makes excellent coffee.

I’ve been using for several months on my induction hob. It’s very lovely, but now leaks . Im sure it must be an easy fix .. I’m not cross threading when I twist it shut .Could do with some ideas anyone , because I do love it !

I have been making coffee at least three times (sometimes more than three if there are more people around) a day in this wonderful moka pot. It's sturdy with clean lines of quality stainless steel. Easy to clean and reuse as of ten as one wants and churns out excellent coffee in reasonably large quantity. There are three coffee drinkers at home with on or two more through the day (My mom's carers who visit thrice a day). This one can handle all very well without fail. Although I've had it for a few months now and I wanted to wait and see how it works on daily basis before I write a review, I'm fully satisfied and happy to recommend this to anyone. I use it on gas stovetop to be precise and it's a coffee horse I must say.Highly recommended.

I think these Italian coffee makers make the best coffee. This one looks good, is easy to use and to clean, and the coffee grounds go straight into the compost. I liked it so much I bought both the 6 cup and the 10 cup.
