Excellent Quality and Sturdy
I use this on my wrought iron 4’ pedestrian gate and it works very well (about 50 lbs.). It’s solid and well made. A good quality product. It comes with clear instructions to install and is fairly easy depending on your application. I hesitated at the price but this is excellent quality and sturdy.

Durable and Better Quality than Most Ofhers.
It closes the gate like it is supposed to.Relatively high quality until the thing blows out next time (about three years).It’s hard to find a good gate closer. This one is one of the best that I have purchased for our pedestrian gates. They seem to fail in extreme heat or extreme cold.Happy with the design and construction.It ain’t cheap. Wait until his tariffs kick in…….“The bitterness of poor quality lasts longer than the sweetness of low price”. Just remember I told you that.

Mostly works as expected.
We've installed a few dozen of these. They work right about 80% of the time. They are a good solution, I just wish they were more consistent.

Great except to strong
Closer is used on a front gate to keep our handicapped son from getting out. Other closers slam the gate hard or it won't latch if just opened a few inches. This opener closes the gate at the same speed regardless of how far it is opened. What I did not realize is that they make three models (this vendor only sold the TB400). The pressure required to open our very light gate is over ten pounds so I have ordered the TB200 from Amazon (different vendor) which should require about six pounds of pressure. The units are rated by the width and weight of the gate.

It's been working great so far
The gate we have is around 125 lbs. The TB400 did not last long as the gate didn't have a stop and ended up being opened too far (abused), this damaged a seal on the closer. I ordered (2) TB600B replacements. It's been working great so far. You just have to ensure that a heavy duty gate stop is in stalled. I fabricated my own from 1" steel rod and HD hockey pucks. Works like a charm.

They didn't work
We purchased 3 of these and had a locksmith install them and none of them work. The gates will barely open even after adjusting the gates. Had to remove and use different closers

Easy to replace a frozen closer cylinder
Worked with the original manufacturer of the closer to make sure I ordered the correct model. Once the new one arrived, it was very easy to install, and works very well. And I liked getting all new mounting hardware with the cylinder.

Will not last forever do to being on a high use gate, but a good product.
