I bought this blanket to be a good 'campfire blanket' - you know, the kind of thin comfy blanket to wrap yourself up late at night when sitting around a campfire. I gotta say, it 100% fits the bill. I got the Teal one and the colors are absolutely beautiful and vibrant. I now use the blanket on the foot on my bed and it seems to be like catnip for the cats as they all want to take turns laying on it. It is thin, but I don't think that's a bad thing for the purpose I wanted it for just as a throw blanket. I've also washed it once and it didn't seem to lessen it's durability and no fabric issues happened.

In the early 1970s, I bought a couple of Mexican blankets from a street vendor in Tijuana for $2 apiece. Over the past fifty years, I have used them as my regular blankets, I've had one of them hanging on my wall for a while, and I've used them camping and backpacking, and both of these blankets are still holding up amazingly well, despite rough use and several washings.That is pretty much what I was looking for in something advertised as a handmade, authentic, traditional Mexican blanket. What I received looked the same but it's considerably thinner than the ones that I have, and I can't imagine that they'll still be around and usable fifty years from now.Considering that I am seventy years old, it's fair to say that I am not going to be around and usable fifty years from now either, so I don't suppose that matters so much. I'll keep the blanket and it will serve a purpose, but it's not what I was looking for in a traditional Mexican blanket.Later...I have had this blanket for just over a month, and the only times that I have used it was to cover up while sitting in a recliner sometimes, if my wife had the AC on, and this wasn't something that I do often. However, after no more than about a dozen uses, my foot poked through the blanket.

Color in listing showed it as a red color. It's pink. Listing shows completely different packaging. Mine came rolled in shrink wrap, without the labeling. If I had known it was going to be pink I would have ordered something else
