California Costumes Men's Wicked Wings

10/10 RECOMMEND!!! I work in nursing and wore these to work for our halloween shindig. The patients all cracked up, loving them! It withheld work, a trunk or treat, and halloween! My only suggestion is to be careful because the wings are delicate. To be fair, I flapped these well over 100xs so they def held up. A screw came out of one of the hinges but was easily put back in. Everyone, including I, loved how the wings could be flapped individually! This is DEFINITELY one of the best Amazon purchases I've ever made, *esp* for the price. The amount of joy it brought my goofy self, and others, was phenomenal!

Great wings! I was able to rig the mobility strings so the wings would stay open for me when I needed them to. Great quality and an awesome additions to My Ozzy Osbourne ordinary man costume!

It was surprising how small & light the package was, so when they came off the cardboard (after having read other reviews), it was another surprise to see how the back panel folds in the center to make for smaller storage, & how well they worked! (Once I figured out that the strings were meant to be crossed. ;)) I tried them on once, terrified that the arm straps would break, but they survived the first test flaps, & upon wearing them out tonight (on Halloween), they not only survived a second go, but folks got a kick out of my flapping wings as I side-stepped between people at the packed karaoke bar. ^_^ The horned tips are hollow on one side, which I find a little strange (given the sturdiness & overall quality of the hard plastic both they & the main backplate are made of), & it definitely cheapens the look & feel of them, but between the thickness of the straps & hearty, thick plastic of the framework, I'm pretty impressed! Not bad for $25! The one improvement/change I'd make is the length of the arm straps. If you're bigger person or have broader shoulders, these night be tough to get on & rather pinchy/circulation-impairing thought the night/wear time. Given that these are for adults, it would be rad if the straps were either longer or adjustable. But I'm thinking of slipping another black elastic through them & tying that around my ribcage next time, so they're easier to put on & more comfortable to wear. :) (And so they can be positioned a bit lower on the back, as they have a habit of gradually riding up & forward, since they're just a hair tight. I'm hoping this'll put less stress on the strap moorings as well, when putting them on & taking them off.) :) The tight straps & hollow horn tops are minor, but the only reason why I'm giving these 4 instead of 5 stars. Still, overall I'm really impressed! These may not be super fancy, but they're definitely fun, totally do the trick for informal events, & overall are pretty neat! 🥰 Love the curvy design of the wings & tips, too! 💙 Perfect for a succubus or demon costume. 🥰

These wings are really fun because they flap and are lightweight on your back. The problem is that they broke after one wearing! We replaced the plastic structure inside with metal pieces to make them stronger. They look good, I just wish they were constructed with higher quality materials.

I absolutely loved these wings. LOVED. The ability to open them was such a cool effect. And they looked fabulous tucked in which made maneuvering in a crowded fantasy ball easier. They do have a big black square on the back but I covered it with scales and it looked great. Size-wise, I am a small frame female 5'5" (19 inches shoulder to shoulder) and they were a perfect fit straight out of the package. I can definitely see how they would be too tight for a larger person. As far as durability, my event was indoors but they held up perfectly well for the 6ish hours I wore them This was legit the best $30 I ever spent. I have lots of more expensive wings but these are by far the most comfortable and have the most impact.

The wings work great. I did start off by checking the screws before I did anything and they were not very tight. A #2(common size) Philips screwdriver fixed that. I would like them to have been wider than 48" when open. I did add extensions onto the wing tips and added more material so now I have a 66" wing span and it fits an adult frame better.

I got a lot of compliments on these! For the price it’s a fantastic product. My one complaint is that the more I used the movement feature the looser the screws got and eventually they popped out. It was last Halloween and I can’t remember what I found out but I do remember looking at it later, in the light of day, and seeing that it was preventable. I may have just not assembled it correctly. Idk. Still was thrilled with the overall look. Would recommend.

I live the idea, but the execution is awful. Super cheap materials. Broke when my son tried it on and wore it for 3 minutes. I fixed it, but when he wore it to school for a costume contest it broke again, to be fixed again. Then it broke a 3rd time before we made it off our first street trick or treating. Super disappointed. Waste of money. Better design n materials would make this 5 stars.
