Treasure in Heaven is the true story of John Tanner, a wealthy New York landowner and convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who in 1834 sold his properties to assist the Church. He freely gave all he had, giving us and example of generosity and consecration in serving the Lord. Review: The blessings of giving for good! - A beautiful true story of a man's kindness and love of the Savor. He was rich in money but it doesn't compare to his richness in spirit, kindness, love and help for his neighbors. Well done, accurate and quite entertaining. It deserves 5 stars and more. Review: Worth watching! - What an amazing story! I named my child after this great man because I was so touched by this story years & years ago! Wealth may come and go but your faith will always remain, no one can take that from you. My son has shown remarkable faith and is living up to this great name. I am so happy they made this life story into a video, so we can share it with others!

John Tanner A Mormon Story
This was the true story of John Tanner who was introduced to the Morman religion. He had large sores on his leg and the doctor said it had to be removed to save his life. He refused. The Mormans told him that God would heal his leg if he believed. Well he believed and threw away his crutches. Tanner was a very wealthy man; and this is the story of the monetary and personal lengths he went to to save the church from becoming bankrupt.

John Tanner - True Example of Consecration
This video tells the story of a remarkable, but unsung convert and benefactor to helping the newly formed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints become established in the Kirtland, Ohio, area with the building of the temple there. The movie is fairly well done, but a little slow moving - no action-packed scenes included.

Inspiring. What does faith and forgiveness do for your character? Watch this.
Of course this is Mormon-centric. However, it is an inspiring story of healing, conversion, commitment, sacrifice, faith, trust and forgiveness. It has inspired me to be better and to try harder. Sometimes all we need is a little pick up, and this short film did just that for me. Plus, I had no idea how the early LDS church overcame some of its debt. Interesting.

Mormon movie
It should be clear that this is a Mormon movie. Thankfully, this was revealed close to the beginning of the movie. I am no respecter of persons. I believe that Jesus Christ did not an assistant. Jesus is the way, the Truth and the Life, and no man comes to the Father but through Him. Jesus is the Only way to Heaven!

Disappointing
I thought this would be an inspiring Christian story, but it departs from the Bible and promotes Mormonism and works of that religion. I do not recommend it.
