Dimmable without the need for a dimmer switch
As we are turning towards more energy-efficient processes and products to save energy and consequently natural resources it slowly trickles to our households. These bulbs are quite bright at 420 lumens but it is not in the 50-watt halogen range since they produce from 500 to 700 lumens, so the 50-watt equivalent claim aims for the lower number. They are warm white so they are suitable for the bedrooms, living rooms and any comfortable areas as the 3000K feels warm and comforting so I would avoid putting them in general areas such as kitchens and bathrooms where more sterile light is better. They have an interesting feature where the dimming can be achieved by turning the bulb on and off in sequence to achieve 100%, 50% and 20% of brightness which is quite novel and useful as you do not have to install a dimmer switch. The claimed 25,000 hours of service life sounds about right for good quality LEDs, however, it would be nice if the bulbs had some warranty on them. The bulbs are quality made and have no strobing effect, it is great that they have CE certificate so they are safe to use, the outer materials are glass and ceramic so no exposed metal except for the copper leads.Overall, for the price of £3.20 per bulb, they are a bit costly but there is no need to install a dimmer switch which can be tedious or too inconvenient for some. I would recommend these bulbs as they are energy efficient and quality made and should last for a while.

Not come across this before
I have installed quite a lot of GU10s (about 120 to be exact) but this is the first set I have had that can be dimmed by switching on and off. That is quite an advantage, because I have had to buy new dimmer switches on quite a few occassions, which are not cheap. These have three levels of dimming - right down to 20% as well as a 50% setting. It works well and these being fairly warm 3000K bulbs lends themselves to being used as softer more ambient lighting. All this for no more than the usual cost of led GU10s. If you are still running halogen because you want to have a dimmer then these are a great solution (although you will need a straight on/off switch - or if you have a dimmer with a click on/off these should work as long as you have it turned up to full power). Highly recommended.

Bright and dimmable
Most of the bulbs in my house are dimmable and I've never had any problems since I've used well-known brands which may cost a bit more but are reliable and last a very long time. This pack of 5 bulbs costs £15.99 so works out to be around £3.20 per bulb.In terms of brightness, it is very bright and easily lights up the room. As I have dimmer switches in all of the rooms, it makes it easy to do so compared to those who have to keep switching the light on and off. It's a warm-ish colour, it's certainly more brighter than the other bulbs I have used but not as warm as them. The only issue I've noticed at times is when dimming it to a low brightness, the bulbs will all flicker or turn off for a few seconds before settling on the low brightness. It says the life span is 25,000 hours based on 3 hours of use per day but I highly doubt this will come anywhere near that. Only time will tell how long these will actually last.If this was helpful, please tap that helpful button below - Cheers!

Almost last a lifetime
I absolutely love every thing about these lights, they are so versatile. I will outline the reason why I think they are a good product. They are energy saving and could last up to 22 years if left on for approx 3 hours today.Great for the environment or what. They are dimmable at 3 stages ( high bright, mid bright and low)20,50& 100% The lights are also energy efficient A which is marvellous and given how long they could last well worth the £16.00You don’t have to instal dimmer switches to dim the lights if you don’t want to as you can use you’re standard on if light switch. The bulbs have a CE mark so they are safe which is reassuring.Great lights and worth buying. If you found this review helpful please click below thank you.

Buoni acquisti!
