could not be happier with this product. I personally think both Beamos should be 10$ cheaper. but they are awesome and great.only 3 stars because of one thing. the app. it’s low resolution and very finicky to use. i don’t want to film with the app, so why make the main page of the app the camera view to film? i just want to use the app for Beamo light settings. update the app with UI and UX improvements and I’ll hop on here “guns a blazing” and give the 5 stars this Beamo Light deserves.

I bought this product largely due to its wireless charging capability. I have several different kinds of charging pads - this product required extreme precision in order to charge. Most of the time, it didn't charge on the charging pad. And if (after several minutes of adjusting) you got it to pickup the wireless current - even the slightest movement would turn the charging off. I ended up just using the cable but seriously - we're paying a lot for the wireless charging capability - which simply doesn't work. I returned the product in the end. It's pretty awesome outside of that so I was a bit disappointed that I had to return it.

Attached this little light to my laptop with a suction cup (not included) and use it for Zoom. Great quality light, and very bright. The diffuser (included) is a must if you use this with a web-cam. My only complaint is that the diffuser cover falls off really, really easily. Not a problem if the light is stationary, but could be an issue in the field. Battery life is adequate, considering how powerful the light is. Overall, very satisfied!

The app for this device is poorly constructed. The light is both too intense and too narrow, like staring into a flashlight beam (even with the diffuser). Worst of all, the battery won't last through an entire class or meeting. This was meant for photography, so if you are ordering it for that, great.Your phone has a great camera, use that. Don't use this.

The beamo itself it's a great concept. But only works well with de diffuser attached and here's where the big problem start, it doesn't get attached to the light, I hope that joby solve this ASAP and sen to us a new a diffuser that works, without diffuser only works as a flashlight and an incredible expensive one.

Me agradó lo portátil, sus dos opciones de carga: con cable o en un "tapete" de carga. Lo he usado varias veces para grabar videos de un servidor, y el baño de luz en el rostro es estupendo, sobre todo en nosotros los hombres quienes no usamos maquillaje. Tiene tal poder lumínico que la gran mayoría de las veces lo he usado en el nivel 1 de 5, y de la mano la batería dura una eternidad. Me gustó mucho. Lo recomiendo.

Compact bright light.

Great light but useless without the diffuser and it doesn’t stay on. And they made it out of non stick rubber so I can’t even use tape. It’s almost like they went out of their way to make this thing not stay on the light. And it’s too bright without it.

Great light for macro photography but let down by the Joby app for Android. Just couldn't get it to work so had to make do with basic settings....until months of searching paid off and someone suggested the Lykos 2 led app by Manfrotto. Now I have access to variable light output instead of just 5 steps plus strobe settings. Not managed to set up the slave flash function yet but much happier with the Joby Beamo now!

Nicely made product and the app is terrific. However, it wouldn't recharge and hence returned. Perhaps I was unlucky but given the price I did not order a replacement, just returned and have lost all confidence in it.

I use the light with my Canon G5X mark 2 for videoing so far very happy with the results. You can alter the light from the App also.

Ich habe bereits eine Litra Torch 2 und habe gelesen, dass dieses Beamo deutlich heller sein soll. Auch die Idee mit der App-Steuerung hat mich interessiert.Ohne große Umschweife: Ich habe die Beamo voll aufgeladen und mit der Litra Torch 2 verglichen:- Die Beamo is vom Volumen etwa doppelt so groß- Die Beamo kann mit der Verarbeitungsqualität bei weitem nicht mithalten- Die Beamo wurde beim Test von etwa 2 Minuten richtig heiß, die Litra hingegen kaum spürbar warm- Und die Beamo ist auch deutlich weniger hell! Sie ist mit 50% mehr Helligkeit als die Torch 2 angegeben, kann im direkten Vergleich aber nichtmal mithalten!Dann zur App, ich nutze ein iPhone 11 Pro max und die App ist das Letzte. Die Buttons funktionieren nicht, dass heißt man sieht lediglich das Kamerabild und das wars. Einstellungsbutton funktioniert nicht, Galerie, Umschalten zu Video...es funktioniert einfach kein Button. Auch liegt es nicht an mir, da die App im Apple store ausschließlich 1* bewertungen hat. Keine einzige die 2 oder mehr gibt, was daran liegt, dass die App einfach vollkommener Schwachsinn ist. Wie kann sowas bitte überhaupt im Store landen? Auch richtig schwach von Apple sowas dort reinzustellen. Auch sollte erwähnt werden, dass die App vor über 6 Monaten ein Update erhielt. Also ist sie seit über einem halben jahr online und funktioniert nichtmal ansatzweise!Auch die Halterungen sind ja in der Theorie ganz nett...aber da der beiliegende Adapter billiges, hartes Plastik ist wackelt es wie ein Kuhschwanz. Keine Chance, dass man dem Aufbau an der Kamera vertrauen kann. Der STativanschluss mag gut sein, aber die Blitzschuhmontage ist ein Witz.Geht sofort wieder zurück. Hatte schonmal ein Joby Produkt, damals ein Stativ. Ich war schwer enttäuscht und bin damals mit einem halb so teuren Produkt danach super happy gewesen. Jetzt das Licht...scheint als kann diese Firma tatsächlich einfach gar nichts, sorry aber was anderes kann ich dazu nicht sagen.Auch die Aussage vom Support bezüglich der App "ja wir haben schon vor das in einem späteren Update noch zu verbessern". Peinlich, einfach nur peinlich.Geht sofort wieder zurück und ich werde bei meiner Litra Torch 2 bleiben. Kleiner, leichter, heller, wird weniger warm und ist deutlich besser verarbeitet.
