Several of the reviews I read before I bought this windmill complained that this windmill was difficult to assemble. I was expecting a long and difficult process. Although it took a while--it is pretty large--I didn't think it was difficult at all. I started the process at about 10 a.m. and by early afternoon it was spinning in the brisk Idaho breeze.I was concerned about its lightweight structure and those common brisk Idaho breezes blowing it down, so I dug down a few inches, used the L-stakes that were included to secure the windmill to the ground, and then buried them. We've had some serious winds so far this year and the windmill is still standing. It looks pretty cute with my morning glory vines growing up its legs. I'm pretty happy with my purchase!

I wasn't sure if this was going to be one of those regrettable purchases--flimsy, cheap, etc.--and I am SO blown away at how gorgeous and huge and sturdy this windmill is. I absolutely love looking at it every day and it's so well made that even though it's weighty, it turns and propels with the slightest breeze like a weathervane. One of the best home décor purchases I've ever made.

I wish this would have come in white or lighter color the dark does not show as much against the tree background

Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, but I feel that the L brackets that come with the windmill to hold the windmill down would not be sufficient to keep the windmill from blowing over. I have made a modification to my windmill to keep it from blowing over. The modification is simple and with some eyebolts, washers, nuts, small chain, turnbuckle and a cement brick this windmill will not blow over. I am 65 years old and have made windmills when I was a teenager. I would recommend and buy again.

Bolt's didn't match up. Had to drill holes in order to complete the sturdiness for the windmill. The instructions didn't show holes on the windmill where the crossbars had pre-drilled areas for construction, nor did the instructions say to drill holes to complete setup. I had to drill 95% of the holes needed to complete the entire setup. Knowing this after receiving the windmill, I would have picked a different product with better instructions and a product that had pre-drilled holes.

I love this product, the fact it has a grease fitting speaks for itself. It is being used as a yard ornament.

Very nice look in red.

I always wanted (but never got) an erector set when I was a kid. This is a giant erector set. Finally result was good but a few choice words during assembly. A 2 person job and a lot of patience required.
