Great value for money and it works! Unlike some comments suggest!
I was sceptical because of the reviews, however I'm very impressed! I've got know experience with cutting glass of any kind at all and it seemed rather simple and straight forward. It's a little fiddly to set up due having to screw and unscrew parts of the device to get everything lined up correctly but other than that it seems rather fail proof. Once you set it up you're good to go! My partner and I ordered this as we wanted to recycle old wine bottles and such into functional glasses. I've only tried one bottle so far but it went well. My only suggestion to anyone trying this out is that before you decide where to cut the bottle try and put the bands on first and make sure they done pop off (I went quite high up towards the neck of the bottle for the first cut and we had to celotape the top most band down as it kept sliding up). Only thing that brings this down a star is the fiddlyness of setting it up - but it really isn't the end of the world. 4/5 would recommend to beginners!P.S you might want a more substantial pare of gloves since you have the potential to be dealing with broken glass and the ones that come in the box appear to be a little cheap.

Don't be mislead by hilarious negative reviews!
Want to cut some glass? Buy this glass cutter. Cut some glass. Simples! This is a really excellent glass cutter and superb value for money with 3 cutting heads, oil and a neat little storage case. Makes the task EASY for even the most inexperienced novice [such as myself] and the negative reviews say more about the ignorance of the user than the quality of the tool - which is EXTREMELY GOOD.Basic glass cutting is not that difficult for a novice provided you spend 35 seconds or so learning how to do it before picking up a cutter. So many people seem to expect the tool to slice through the glass like a blade through paper and then blame the tool when it doesn't! Uh?Firstly - Glass cutters do not CUT the glass - they SCORE the surface and then the glass can be 'snapped' along the score. A quick look at any tutorial will explain that.Secondly - cutting heavily embossed or thick, patterned glass is a very specialised job requiring specialised tools and I'm staggered that someone tried this with a manual cutter and then complained their glass was ruined!! Why spend a huge amount of money on a decorative piece of glass but not bother to get it made to the correct size? And then try to DIY it with a £12 cutter? Madness!Thirdly - ONE PASS ONLY when cutting glass. For those reviewers proudly informing us how they scored the glass 3 or 4 times and then complaining they were sold a blunt cutter - blunted it themselves by scoring more than once. The instructions with this item may be light but they clearly state this, along with the other basic rules for using the tool. Why not read them? I can't understand why anyone would attempt to carry out a task with absolutely no idea how it is done.Yes - they would have been better off with a rusty nail or a plastic spoon because this glass cutter is way too advanced for people who have chosen never to waste time learning anything!Update - I had a problem with the cutter when a part of the oil feed fell out and I couldn’t put it back together - the seller was fantastic - told me how to reassemble it but sent a replacement as well next day free of charge! Well beyond expectations.

Struggled to Cut Even Thin Glass
I bought this glass cutter hoping it would help with a few DIY projects involving mirrors and glass panels. Sadly, it did not live up to expectations. Even on thinner pieces of glass, it struggled to score clean lines. I applied steady, even pressure as recommended, but the cutter either slipped or produced very uneven scores, making the glass crack unpredictably when snapped. The built-in oil feed also seemed to be very inconsistent. Sometimes too much oil would come out, leaving a mess, and other times it barely released anything at all. The carbide tip dulled after just a few cuts, meaning I could not even finish a single small project without issues.Overall, it felt flimsy and awkward to use, much more like a cheap novelty tool than a proper glass cutter. I would not recommend this product if you want precision or reliability.
