Joseph JosephSlim Stainless-Steel Compact Soap Dish with Drain, One-Size, Stainless Steel

My favorite thing about this soap dish is its small size, yet it can hold a full-sized bar of soap. I don't like giving up space on my bathroom counter, so this is perfect. It also does an excellent job of keeping soap dry. I suppose once the soap is super thin, it could slide into the hole at the bottom, but I haven't experienced that yet. In general, this product is super useful, fairly attractive (for plastic) and minimalist.

I always keep a bar soap with a nailbrush in a soap dish in our bathroom. I bought this for that intention. It is a little small but if you use a small bar of soap, the nail brush sits along the side. The great part is that the water drains off into the reservoir. for easy cleaning, and keeping your soap dry. If you were using for a bar of face soap, or hand soap only it would work wonderful! I have a large Joseph Joseph toothbrush , toothpaste organizer that holds 2 electric toothbrushes, 2 regular toothbrushes, 2 tubes toothpaste and floss, and has the same reservoir, to keep things dry and for easy cleaning, too. They do not show prints or water either. Recommend Joseph Joseph. this is not an advertisement, just an honest review.

This keeps your soap from sitting in fluid and getting mushy. Any water on the soap drips does into the reservoir it sits on. You can separate this reservoir when necessary to empty.

Sleek and compact soap holder with a tidy slot that allows the water to drain into the bottom and keep the soap dry. Its design fits any bathroom decor and it's well-made. The one improvement I can see has to do with the platform that the soap bar rests on. It's flat, so the soap tends to stick to it. This is only a minor inconvenience but Joseph Joseph could improve the design by creating a bump to raise the soap slightly.

Read and know exact measurements. I put a regular size Dove Bar Soap in this dish and it fits well - not perfectly - it will lay over some but the design and style is so good it does not distract from the size of soap/dish ration. And the soap gets smaller as you use it anyway. The drainage works great no mushy soap bar, very easy to clean. I have nothing but good things to say, it was a great purchase.

I should have heeded other 3-star reviews. The dish is too small for what I consider a regular size bar of soap. “Compact” was taken to an unhelpful extreme. I was aware that the dish is not designed to contain the entire length of a normal bar of soap, but the problem is the dish is not wide enough. The inner dimensions are smaller than those I saw on the product page, 3.5"L x 3.2"W. Consider that a new bar of soap (pictured) measuring roughly 3.5”L x 2.5”W x 1”D will not sit down in this dish. The best I could do is balance the soap on the edge of the dish. The fit was not at all like the soap used in the product photos. There is little chance this dish will hold more generously sized handmade artisan soaps, especially those of irregular shapes.I may break this out for the few times I have tiny soap, but I am looking for another everyday solution for regular bars. It is such a shame that Joseph Joseph does not offer (yet) a full-size version of this dish.

What a clever little thing! It's so compact but it can accommodate even really hefty bars of soap with it's angled hold. I use it at home but it would also be amazing for travel! I also own a Joseph & Joseph toothbrush holder and I loved that I could match the color scheme. But that's just a bonus.I will say though, for optimum use I had to slightly alter my lathering method. I use to wet my soap in water before using and while this holder kept my soap mostly dry, it'd still be a tad bit sticky and slimy. Comparable to a soaplift. Once I started wetting my skin/cloth/loofah first and just using the wetness of that to lather the soap, this really helped to keep it dry afterwards with no stickiness at all. Better than my Soaplift!

I've been trying to find a soap dish for a while that would fit in my tiny bathroom. This one is perfect. Sits in the corner of tiny sink no problem. Looks sleek. Seems easy enough to open to clean (not cleaned it yet). Keeps the soap dry and stops it sliding into the sink every five minutes. Very pleased with this. Thank you!
