American Standard 1660739.278 3-Function Shower Head-2.5 GPM, Legacy Bronze

The American Standard 3-Function Shower Head is a really nice 'luxury' showerhead. It was super easy to install, and it looks great. The 5" diameter fit easily only our existing showerhead spout/arm. I need to better understand the "Pressure-compensating flow control device", because at 2.5gpm I find that I would like a bit more pressure. I don't think they mean the 3 spray choices, but perhaps? Either way, the spray provides good coverage and is gentle like a rainfall vs. a hard spray which we got from our old showerhead. I sometimes can't decide which I preferred, but I think this one works better for washing your hair.The Brushed Nickel finish is really attractive and looks nice. I can only assume this is the reason for the price being so high. I'd prefer to see this come in about twenty bucks less than its current list, which is why I'm removing one star (cost to value), but then again I'm surprised overall by the cost of showerheads. American Standard makes a good product and provides a good warranty, so buy with confidence. If you're looking to retrofit your existing shower with something nicer, this will do the trick!

My husband and I have this in our bathroom and we bought one for my parents because they loved it when they came to visit. They are very happy with the product! Super easy to install and the water pressure is great

Not quite sure why this is advertised so expensive. Most of it is plastic. I would suggest getting something else for longevity.

Appears to be a perfect identical replacement for our shower head. No complaints so far.A little warning, though. Our original broke when my teenage son tried to adjust the shower head. Water started spurting out the back end of the shower head. There's no way of knowing if he did it rough or not (he claims he didn't). He has been warned to be extra careful since then. So I'd just advise that you are very gentle when adjusting this, just in case.

I really wanted to like this showerhead but it just felt like poor water pressure even though it was rated for 2.5gpm. I've had other cheaper showerhead rated at 2.0gpm and it felt much more powerful than this.

Replaced an AS showered that died (little rubber mini-nozzles that squirt out the water died after 17 years). This one matched nickel finish and looks great. Maybe -.5 star for not having a ton of variable spray choices, but still good overall.

I ordered a Kohler showerhead and was surprised when I opened the box and it was made of plastic. I returned it. As it turns out, most showerheads that are available on Amazon are made from plastic. I spent a lot of time searching for a metal shower head. It is not easy to find that information! They don't offer it up. You have to read the fine print. In the "Technical Details" of this American Standard showerhead it says "Material -- Metal" but it is NOT. It is cheap plastic. So I'm sending this one back too.

This shower head is from the Patience line by American Standard.It is an attractive lineup of classic design.This multi-function shower head has 3 different spray patterns.- stronger center spray- gentle softer and wider outer ring spray- full combo spray of both patternsAt 2.5 GPM I find the combo spray looses some of its effectiveness unless you have higher than normal water pressure.I think the wide gentle pattern is my favorite followed by the stronger center spray.It is a simple and easy click to change patterns by rotating the outer ring. I doubt most people change the spray pattern in their showers very often but it is nice to have the option to do so and find the one that works best for your situation.It comes with American Standards limited lifetime warranty.Almost fully metal construction accounts for most the price. It is a quality piece.The finish is uniform and flawless.Very good quality form American Standard.It fits standard sized 1/2" shower head arms.5 star quality.
