Very Cute Doll!
This doll is sooo cute! we love her outfits and the accessories. She is also great quality of doll, many dolls now a days are cheaply made and fall apart easily, but Lottie is a well made doll! My daughter is already wanting two others!

What a wonderful little doll for girls who are interested in space
What a wonderful little doll for girls who are interested in space! My eight year old absolutely loves the doll and brings her everywhere. She is even going to use the doll in her science fair project about Saturn. The dolls are age appropriate, and high quality. When one of the buttons fell off, I contacted the company and they responded immediately with the offer to send new overalls. This is the first Lottie doll I purchased, but it will not be the last.

Great doll and good quality but somewhat awkward accessories
Adorable doll: I got the brunette which was fine by me. I love her outfit, such wonderful colors and lovely detail. The lining of her dark blue coat is soft and fleecy and her long sleeve shirt has light blue sleeves to match the buttons of her overalls! Lottie reminds me a lot of the Jenny and Licca dolls from Japan with the mold of her face and the casual clothes. (Barbie has come a long way recently though and I love what they're doing with the current Fashionista line. I just wish they had even more articulated dolls. Made to Move Barbies are fantastic and it's a shame so few of her sisters get articulated further.) The only major complaint I have about this Lottie, and the main reason I'm giving her 4 stars, is that her telescope is too short for her to use it realistically. This won't be a problem for little girls (and boys) who don't care about such details and plan on holding her while she uses it but as someone who enjoys posing their dolls, it's a bit of a let-down. I had to sit her on a very short stool (it's meant for 1:12 dolls) and fit the bottom of the tripod between her spread legs. Luckily, she's in a display case so she can look across the room. Even with the stool, if the telescope is tilted up, her eyes won't come close enough to the end for her to look at the theoretical night sky. Sitting on the ground she can barely reach it and she can't kneel well enough to try that option. This seems like a bit of an oversight for a $25 dollar doll who is very proud to stand up on her own two feet! (Also, the telescope goes together easily but it took me a little time to figure out how it should go together. A simple logic puzzle but for younger kids, a piece of paper with instructions would be nice.) Otherwise, the telescope is an awesome accessory and I love it. I simply think it could've been improved. :) Oh, and her hat does fit but it likes to fall off when she's moved around. As cute as it is, I can see this becoming a real pain in the butt since it could get lost when a kid just wants to carry her around. Parents should beware of that possibility and leave the hat at home.

An adorable doll that holds a realistic portrayal of real girls
An adorable doll that holds a realistic portrayal of real girls. It is a perfect size with a perfectly quirky style and accessories that a down-to-earth girl would love. This will be a Spring Celebration gift (a.k.a. Easter) for my girl who is in love with space and has a vast imagination and penchant for science exploration.

High quality, great present
My 8-year old daughter loved this set for Christmas. Like others have stated, this doll is very nicely made with high quality materials, and great care for detail. I especially like that this set not only allows for play, but it also came with instructional material that helped my daughter learn about the planets. We will definitely be buying more Lottie sets in the future.

Wanted the red-headed doll as pictured
Probably I could have given 5 stars if the doll had not been clearly a brunette. I ordered thinking it would be a redhead as pictured. It was not. So she stayed in the box and travelled back to Amazon. Disappointed, because I can see some people did get a redheaded doll. I just was not one of them.

I cannot rave enough over these beautiful dolls!
These were made FOR little girls. They have soft, eye catching fabrics, long hair that holds up to brushing well, adorable costumes that are unique and don’t look like any other doll clothing I’ve seen, and soft, bendable little bodies. My daughter is obsessed with them!

Cute doll but leg joints seem to break easily
Cute but one of the knee joints broke the first time the leg was bent. The leg still bends but does not stay bent like the other one.

Lottie is a range of toys aimed at any type of child that encourages children to explore the varieties of childhood experiences suited to their own individual personalities and interests, rather than encouraging them to project themselves into the persona of an often over idealized adult or teenager. I bought this for myself rather than a child, because I love real astronomy and science fiction. And this doll reminds me significantly of my studious younger self. I have seen a few reviews complaining that the dolls are small, they are approx 7 inch/18 cm in height. It is not a 12 inch barbie doll. They are based on an average 9yr olds proportions and designed to be easily held in little hands for easier play - it's not about what appeals to adults. Some comments question the clothing quality. It is true some of the seams are a bit wobbly, but the smaller the toy the harder it is to sow for them because fabric is woven for human proportions. This is a long acknowledged toy industry challenge, but the details and accessories with Lottie are charming. I won't lie, she's on the expensive side. But she is produced by a small company that does not have the resources to facilitate a low price point such as the makers of the market leading brand. Although as a responsible parent or educator it could be asked if it is not worth it to encourage kids to be kids during that limited time window, before they lose the desire to play.
