Good Mic Mount / Bad Threads ... RECOMMENDED-HACK
The media could not be loaded. I'm a little surprised I am taking the time to write this or do this, but if you are reading this, hopefully, it helps.I have a pair of AKG 414 B-ULS; the clamp on this shock mount holds the mic as expected (5 stars). The entire shock mount is hard plastic. The 5/8" female thread for connecting to a mic stand is not good! It's not a complete thread all the way around (see pictures); it has shallow grooves and is hard, cheap plastic. This mount ships with a metal adapter (5/8 to 3/8 female). Still, upon removing the adapter, I could see the adapter shifting around inside the mount's threads. In other words, it will not tighten to the plastic threads. I removed the adapter and tried the shock mount on a mic stand; I do not feel confident leaving my classic mic on these threads. I feel convinced that if you remove the shock mount from a mic stand, as is typical between recording sessions, the threads on this mount will wear out.I have received/opened these mounts within the last hour and am already considering a hack.Again, the mic mount seemingly works well. So, I am going to order 3/8 Male to 5/8 Female Mic Screw Adapters and likely use Loctite Epoxy or some other adhesive to glue the provided adapter into the mount and the Mic Screw adapter into the supplied adaptor - essentially creating a long 5/8F to 5/8M that I will leave glued into the shock mount. I'll try this on one shock mount; if it works, I'll do the other; if not, I'll return the untouched shock mount—updates to follow.TWO WEEKS LATER :It's been about a week since I received (ASIN B09CQ9NTJW) Rigych Mic Stand Adapter 5/8 Female to 3/8 Male & 3/8 Female to 5/8 Male and used loctite epoxy to glue the adapters into theses shock mounts. Perfect! Works like a charm and creates a stable connection to mic stands. I raised the rating a star (4 stars) because it works great now.FWIW - I posted another picture of the plastic threads (close up) - the only activity these threads had was removing and inserting the adapter twice. Again, I wouldn't trust these without a modification. Happy recording!

Good quality and fits my microphone perfectly
I am very happy with this shock mount. AKG is out of stock on their H-85 unit, so I was happy to find this device. I have an AKG C-214 microphone and this shock mount fits it perfectly. It is well-constructed, sturdy, and the isolation bands have just the right amount of tension. The bonus was that this shock mount was 1/3 less in price than the H-85 unit and just as good.

It fits the AKG C414...After you turn the bottom ring.
I almost sent this back based on my initial finding and another review. My AKG C414 didn't fit snuggly. But after looking closer, and turning the bottom ring, it gripped my mic. I felt like an idiot not checking that first. This mount holder will save you quite a bit of change over buying the AKG holder. I use it in my vocal booth and so far I've had no issues with shock absorption.

Almost as Good as the AKG H-85
These are a very similar copy to the original AKG H-85 shock mounts that shipped with the AKG414 microphones. The big difference I see is that the part that screws into the mike stand base is plastic whereas the AKG model is metal. Both the AKG and this copy have plastic baskets but the AKG seems to be a better material. The new clips hold both my AKG 414 ULS and AKG 414 XLS microphones well. However, the original AKG H-85 Clip works on the Neumann TLM103 while this copy does not.I've attached a photo of the copy on the left next to the authentic H-85.

Like OEM
Holds the microphone securely and no drooping. Would purchase again.

Just buy the real thing
Works good and fits my AKG C 214, but if you’re gonna pay this price, just buy the real thing. This mount is made out of a cheap plastic. My Rode mount was 100x sturdier than this one

Works great for my small studio.
As This shock-mount is for a static location for a vintage C3000 in a voice over booth and will not get moved much, I felt spending 3 times the price on the original AKG mount was not worth the money. this Shock-mount does the trick limiting vibrations to the microphone and is sturdy enough for my needs. it is mostly a cheaper plastic than the original, but does not appear as it would break unless in a mobile situation where equipment abuse is common. Shipping was fast and the color was darker than the advertised images shown which I am glad about.
