Beautifully done, well-crafted book, crammed full of full-color photographs of rail-oriented transportation through the ages, Many rarely-seen and rarely-visited railway scenes. My only negative comment relates to the size of the publication --- this would have made a magnificent "coffee-table book". I wish the publishers would consider re-issuing the identical book, but several times its size, both for impact and for ease of reading... can't have too much of a good thing.Fulfillment service by the bookseller was outstanding --- exactly as advertised, very fast service, everything done professionally --- an excellent place to do business --- speaks highly of both the bookseller and of Amazon Books as the intermediary.Thank you to all ! I was incredibly happy with this purchase. My four-year old son loves trains, and this book is his new favorite. The book was in perfect condition, and the seller delivered it to me much quicker than I was anticipating.

Colin Garrett has written only one book "The World Encyclopedia of Locomotives" and it has been endlessly repackaged along with "GreatRailway Journeys of the world" by Max Wade-Matthews. So far I have purchased 6 different books that are combinations of one or both ofthese titles.
