Effective little Device
I was skeptical when I bought this at-home IPL device because I did not have any experience with laser before. I had seen a blogger use a similar thing and I really wanted to try. I have been using this device twice a week for two weeks now just like the direction’s states. I have already done 3 sessions with it on my underarms and pubic hair. It’s super easy to use, you just have to shave and then plug device in and hold it vertically over your skin. It does not hurt even a bit; the cooling function helps soothe sensitive skin. I have had no redness or sensitivity till now. The device is also very aesthetically pleasing, light to hold and easy to maneuver. Worth the investment.Overall, even after 3 sessions I had seen just slight improvement on hair growing slightly slower and so far, I am very happy with this little device. I will continue with the sessions and get back to this review later. So far, I rate it 5 stars and I would recommend it mainly because of cooling feature, price, and 999,999 flashes.

Love love love the ice feature!!
So I waited a month before writing this review becasue I wanted to see how it would really work. I got this primarily for my chin hair which just doesn't stop growing ( If I ever quit my job, I can literally join the circus as the bearded lady) hahaha!I got professional laser done years ago and all it did was leave discoloration patches on my chin. I was left either shaving or threading which made no difference.I came across this laser on Amazon Prime Day and decided to give it a shot. It's pretty pink which I immediately loved. The instructions looked easy enough. The box comes with 2 razors, sunglasses for eye protection, a cute pouch to store stuff in and a corded wall plug thing. It's been a month, I have been using it religiously twice a week. The ice feature really helps soothe the laser pinch. I'm left with no laser burns either.Has it removed my chin hair? NO. Infact my chin hair has grown thicker and faster. BUT my reason for 5 stars is that when I shave it off, my chin is smooth. No dark shadow. Im still shaving twice a day and NO razor burn or ingrown hair. Its a smooth clean shave.....I'm desperate. I'll take it. It makes me happy! Who knows maybe in a few months, I'll be hairless. One can hope right?Give it a shot. It's a nice device. I'm thinking of using it on my legs next. See how it goes. Overall I'm happy with it.

Works well but be patient
I waited to review this until I'd used it for 8 weeks. It's easy and comfortable to use, but you have to be patient -- I am starting to see good results after 8 weeks of consistently following the directions. I have pale skin and very fine, dark brown hair. I've noticed this is working well for underarms and bikini line, not as well for the lighter hair on my chin and upper lip. It can be time-consuming to use on legs, because it frequently "pauses" as though it needs to cool down or recharge, but then will start working normally again. (I've found it's better to use a lower setting for legs, because this pause will happen less frequently.) The cooling feature is really nice, especially when using in hot weather. Overall I'd say I'm not expecting this to completely eliminate hair, but I definitely do not have to shave as often -- I used to shave every day, now it's every 2 to 3 days. I would recommend this product.

6+m Update: Did not work - Horrible instructions, but easy to use once you know how (results tbd)
Update after 6 months use: I have followed all the described instructions for frequency of use (actually probably more) and after 6 + months of trying I have seen NO results. I even stopped using the “cooling” (snowflake icon) to see if that made any difference (nope). As mentioned below, my skin and hair color should have been the optimal candidate for this product. I totally feel as if I wasted my time and money. Would NOT recommend.Original review:Current rating is based upon use of item without final results. Rating is based on horrible instructions and short power cord. I do not yet know if this works and will update my review after a while longer with results (6m? Maybe). I’ve used this about four times so far. However, there are some things I believe those interested should know. First- the instructions are barely in English. Yes, the words are English, but the sentences themselves are incredibly hard to figure out what to do. I’ll post my instructions below for reference. Second, I had professional laser hair removal done about 10 years ago and paid A LOT. I completed all the sessions and even purchased extra. After about 5 extra I gave up due to cost and not great results. With professional salon treatments I saw about 30-50% hair reduction (leg & bikini line). So I may have less hair now then others. At the time the professional services were incredibly painful (plus expensive) and I feel like I have a high pain threshold. This home IPL model has not hurt or burned me at all and I’ve used the settings up to the highest level 5. Lastly - I meet the criteria for best results: pale / light skin with dark black hair. Here is what I think the instructions should say based upon me reading the booklet as well as other reviews and using this a few times now: 1. Remove the clear plastic film layer from the side where the laser light end is located (no where do the instructions mention there even is a film layer) 2. Fully clean and shave any area you plan to use this device 3. Wear the protective glasses included 4. Plug the charger into the wall and insert the adapter plug end part into the smaller end of the device 5. Use the extra lid cap for smaller areas and remove it for larger areas (simple to take on / off) 6. The pink metallic buttons / functions are as follows (what my instruction booklet called “glitter” - really?!): While holding the device with the wider edge pointing away from you (laser area pointing away) and the display side up the small pink button on the left is the on/off button (when pressed down for approx 2 seconds it will turn the device on/off) AND the same button is for the adjustment of strength settings: 1 to 5 (once powered on press this button quickly, approx 1 sec per click to toggle through the different strengths) which appear as line bars on the display. Once you click 5 times it will cycle backwards from highest to lowest then back up again (one strength setting per click). The large pink button in the center is the button to press when manually clicking for treatment OR when you hold this down the device will display “auto” and will automatically flash every few seconds (hold down to turn on/off auto). Be sure to move the device between flashes to a new area. It is a bit difficult to determine what area you have or have not treated as the laser area is smaller than the device head. The small button on the right is for “cooling” mode and when on a snowflake icon will appear on the display. I have always used this with the cooling feature on (why would I not? That’s not clear to me). The device does take a second or two between flashes (manually or automatically) I suppose to charge/be ready. A blinking circle will appear when it’s ready to flash (push the large center button at this point if using manually). Also, I did find that the device seems to somewhat accurately sense when it is or is not in contact with your skin. It sometimes needs to be repositioned to have better contact in order to flash. When not fully in contact I think the circle will not blink. I recommend holding and using the device with the screen facing you so you can see the display icons. Easy to use once you figure it out.
