Great price!
Got these for my daughters dance recital - great variety of colors and easy to apply. There are lots of dark brown and black colors that we wonโt use, but itโs still a great deal even if you only use half of them.

Exceeded My Expectations
Let me just say, these are WAY better than I expected from something this cheap. You get all 12 lip liners and all the colors are different. There were only two colors that were similar, but even then they were still a shade different. There's three pinks, one light purple, one red (with a pink undertone), two nude colors, two browns, two burgundys, and a black. Some of the colors don't match the colors on the bottom of the liners, so I suggest doing swatches before wearing them, so you know exactly what each color looks like. From the three I tried on, they were all creamy and went on smooth. All are matte. They twist up so no need for sharpening. They were a little drying but usually matte lipsticks/lip liners are, just put on chapstick or something underneath. I wouldn't say they're completely water proof, but they do take some scrubbing to get off, especially the darker colors. I haven't tried eating with them on but I'm sure they'd stay on. One of my favorite things about them is I noticed that they don't rub off on my teeth! Every other lipstick/liner has done that to me. All in all, they're great and I highly suggest buying them. What a steal for the price.

Pretty but not long wearing
These are pretty on the lips but not long wearing. There are some really odd colors in here too. I thought there would be more neutrals but everything is pink or red toned. I will not be purchasing again

I'd pass this set by...
I bought this because I liked that it was a set, so I could have multiple colors to try. There are several problems with the product worth noting: One is the consistency between the colors. Some of the shades apply easily and relatively smoothly. Some of the others are like a hard wax that literally hurt and pull when you try to apply. These ones even feel heavy on the lips. Another issue is that the set I received almost every pencil color looks the same from the bottom. In this shown picture, you can see various shades, but almost all but the pink on the set I received look like brown on the end, which makes it a real pain when I'm in a hurry, because I have to open each one in order to find the right shade. The last issue is the color choices in the set. I'd recommend you really think twice on this set if you are fair skinned like I am. Of the entire set, I use maybe 3 or 4 of the pencils. One looks black both in the tube and on the lips. One color that I did like was so soft compared to the others it broke each time I used it, so that one was used up quickly. Overall, I would not recommend nor do I plan on buying again. I still prefer Avon Glimmersticks liner over these.

Ah-mazing!
I was in need of more lip liners and after a lot of searching I decided on these ones from J.cat. I can honestly say I am so surprised at how great they are for the price! The colors are fantastic, they last all day, and they are roll-up pencils which I prefer in a lip liner. When I first received these I swatched them on my wrist, waiting a few minutes, and then attempted to rub it off with my hand. Rubbing slightly smeared the liners, but the color was very much still there. I managed to forget that I'd swatched these on my wrist and woke up the next morning with all the little lines still there. I then had the opportunity to actually use the lip liner and it worked just as well as some of my more expensive liners. I am very pleased! My only gripe is that the pencil casing seems a little flimsy/loose. I haven't had any problems with that yet, though, so I'm still very happy with my purchase.

buy them, like, now!
First thing's first - this is a great deal! These exact pencils go for $2.99 each at ulta. That's roughly a $25 savings compared to buying them all individually! They are super creamy and go on easily with no tugging but they also last all day for me when i use a setting spray over my entire face. I loved that there are a few more unconventional colors (brown, hot pink, black) as well as several standard ones. I can find a match for nearly every lipstick I own right in this pack. Full disclosure, one did arrive broken or faulty (when i rolled it up a little to swatch it, the whole thing sprung up and wouldn't click back down) but honestly, considering that I paid roughly 10 dollars for set with a value of 35.88, it's no loss and it wouldn't be fair to take a star off.

Good or Bad? Color difference in each pencil is extremely subtle
They apply easily and I prefer these softer pencils over the sharper, harder ones. When I first opened it, I thought I was a fool to purchase this because it appeared to me that only 2-3 of the pencils would ever be used. The rest appeared too dark or too light. After using them, however, I have found that I can almost just grab one blindly and it will be fine regardless of the lipstick I choose. In other words, despite what you see on the caps, the actual colors are all very similar in shade. If you truly want the exact colors shown on the caps, this is not a recommended purchase.

There's a nice variety. I don't think I'll have a need ...
I'm new to the world of lip liner so I'm afraid I can't really compare it to other things but I'm still a fan especially for this price. There's a nice variety. I don't think I'll have a need for a black lip liner, or dark brown or bright magenta but lots of the other have proven useful so it's still a good deal. As most other reviews have said the color on the bottom of the pencil has next to nothing to do with the actual make up. Always test it on your hand or look at the pigment of what you're about to put on or you'll have a bad time. It's pretty creamy so I've taken so just coloring in with the liner and putting a layer of burts bees chapstick on top, skipping the actual lipstick part, but I've used it with lipstick as well either way works.
