TUFFY® toys are the most durable dog toys on the market! With up to 4 layers of material, our toys are bonded and sewn together with up to 7 rows of stitching for added durability. A protective webbing is added to the outside edge to cover the seams and make the toy even stronger. TUFFY® toys float in water and are machine washable (air dry). Squeakers are sewn inside protective pouches for your dog’s safety. This extra measure of safety can give you the time you need to remove the toy in the event your dog reaches the core. Our toys are built to last, but keep in mind that no toy is “indestructible”. TUFFY® toys are designed to be used for interactive play and are not chew toys. Please be a responsible dog owner and only allow your dog to play with the toy under supervision. Do not allow your pet to ingest any portion of the toy. We strive to make our toys the strongest and safest on the market. As loving dog owners, we only want the best toys for our dogs and yours.

Great toy for two big German Shepherds
We only buy Tuffy dog toys now because we have one German Shepherd, and we often watch our daughter's GSD too, and the two dogs tear anything else apart in minutes. Tuffy toys are BY FAR superior to any other dog toy we have tried. That being said, some Tuffy toys seem to last longer than others with the two dogs, and this one has been pretty good! We've had it for a few weeks now, and it's just now starting to show some white (stuffing) where their teeth have pierced the top of the toy. That's pretty good, considering they play tug of war with it and can tear into toys pretty hard. If it were just our one dog, I think it would last a lot longer because it's the tug of war between the two of them that does them in faster.Even so, when they do manage to tear the fabric in vulnerable places, I just pull the stuffing out from that area, and they continue to play with it, sometimes for months! This one is better than some other Tuffy toys too because it has lots of areas where there is already more fabric and reinforced seams than stuffing, like all the legs on the side, the tail, and even the pincers. So far, they haven't been able to tear into those at all. Just a bit on the top of the head, and so far, no stuffing coming out yet. This one is a big win for us! When they finally do do it in, I will turn around and buy another Scorch the Scorpion right away!

It’s ok
I like this product for my dogs and go through them every 3 months. They can take a beating. If the price was decreased, I’d buy more of them.

A little too big for my dog..
My fault for not reading the description correctly but the toy is huge! I bought this for our Yorkshire Terrier who will shred anything we give him to pieces within minutes. I read the reviews on this one and thought maybe I found something truly tough enough for him. The toy was almost as big as he is and watching him carry it around was funny. It took him a week of constant work to start a hole in the seam of one of the claws. Still after he was able to rip into the seam of the toy we were able to let him keep it a bit longer. Total play time with this thing totaled a month, the stuffing was out and the squeaker was trashed, the only reason it went away was because it was just too nasty to have in the house anymore

Decent, better options from the same brand available
I've bought a few of these Tuffy toys for my extreme chewer a 40lbs Siberian Husky. I usually really like these because they are the only toys to last more than a few hours (some have lasted a full 2 days). However this specific scorpion only lasted about 6 hours, I expected more from a toy that was rated an 8 and over $30.I'd suggest getting the turkey instead. That one lasted a full week before he destroyed a section of the tail and it is still around after a couple of months as he has destroyed it by sections and it still has part of the body. It has even lasted a few tug-of-war sessions. The upside to these toys is they all have several squeakers inside, which drive my sibe insane with destructive joy.Edit: When I say last more than a few hours I mean that the first rips begin to happen after a few hours, however this scorpion was completely destroyed in less than half a day.

Jury still out
bought this for a young Jack Russell terrier that chews on everything. While most toys that she has gotten don't last a couple days, this one has held up better. It was almost the same size as her, so it's a good size toy. She doesn't favor it as she does the more soft or plush toys that we give her. Probably because she can't rip it apart like the others, so usually it's one of the last toys she gets out. She has chewed off a couple pinchers, though. Still in the toy box, ready to chew on, whereas many other toys of hers have wound up in the trash.

Doberman Approved
This has been my doberman's favorite toy since he was a pup. We've replaced it multiple times throughout his ten years because it is something he plays with daily. I'd say it is one of the most durable soft toys that we have ever bought. With other soft toys we're lucky if the toy survives an evening. Quoting my doberman "THE SQUEAKY MUST COME OUT!!" But this Tuffy Scorpion soft toys lasts us months! So if you have a dog that insists on removing the squeaky, try the Tuffy products.

the scorpion has held up pretty well - no other body parts have been removed
My Jack Russell Terrier is able who gut all toys, including the Tuffy brand, within a few hours. Other than that, the scorpion has held up pretty well - no other body parts have been removed. We have purchased 10 - 15 of the Tuffy brand toys over the last few years, and they do last better than any others.

Long Lasting
I bought this toy for my dog in June and it still looks like new. It has stood up to tug of war and many other doggie activities. My dog likes this toy, but she likes Oscar the Octapus (same brand) much better. I think all the legs make Scorch a little more difficult to get her mouth around.

I have bought three of these so far. My dog chews toys. These are constructed in such a way they last him a long time even though he does eventually destroy it they are worth the money.

Dog Destroyed this in 10 Minutes :(
My pup is rough with his toys, and I really wanted the "Tuffy" toys to be the line for him, but unfortunately they just do not stand up to the jaws of a zealous shepherd. The hard edges, especially around the legs, seem to make him want to chew more. Within ten minutes he'd chewed off all the legs and pulled out half the stuffing.Might be good for a dog that just carries their toys around and is not prone to chewing them, (or for an animal shelter or kennel where the stuffies go through tons of washes) but I won't be spending any more money on the Tuffy toys.
