The Dogs - For Carpets
This is the third attempt I have had purchasing a new vacuum, having tried Dyson and Vax, both useless, and had to go back. so after reading other reviews I decide to go back to my old make name Hoover (I had an old one for over twenty years). And have to say I have not been disappointed, it is a great machine. Not the lightest, but you can make it lighter by not carting the tube and tools around with you, just store them in a cupboard. I has many useful tools it comes with, all of which work great. It has a 4.5m hose for stairs, much better than carting the machine around, which most other uprights seem to do. You can vary the suction power, and on full it is very powerful. Is easy to manoeuvre and works very well on carpets. Sorry I cannot comment on hard floors, we have none. But do have carpets, two cats (who use a litter tray) and a baby. Clears all with ease. Very impressed.

Great value
For years I have used a Dyson animal (I have quite a few hairy dogs), but decided to try a new brand, and I'm glad I did. On the down side, following the written instructions is a bit of a trial as they are not as clear as they might be, and assembly was as much guess work as following them, and I am still working out where most of them fit and how they are used. The hose is almost independent of the hoover, hangs on the side and needs to be attached if it is to be used. The bin is small and requires emptying more often, and has to be taken apart from the top if there is excess dog hair which doesn't fall out when the cylinder is opened - a real pain. However, the hoover has fantastic suction and is capable of lifting small rugs, and does an really great job of cleaning. It is lighter than a Dyson, is very manoeuverable, goes right to the edges, leaving a really clean carpet, and did the job in half time of my old hoover. Seriously impressed with my purchase in spite of the little annoyances.

Perfect hoover for a busy household.
I absolutely love this hoover, it's a little on the heavier side compared to some other hoovers but what it gives in return in other ways more than makes up for this! We're a busy household of 8 people, 3dogs & a cat (we're mad, I know ๐) so I hoover at least twice a day and the hoover glides along our laminate, lino and carpet smootly picking up every little crumb without difficulty. It also has an extremely long extension hose to get into those nooks and crannies or even to get and pesky cob webs that have popped up on the ceiling. It also has a emergency stop function, so if you accidentally run over something that you shouldn't have the rotor will stop to let you know.

Good powerful hoover but let down by design flaws
I originally brought this hoover back in 2021 it's a great and powerful hoover that'll pick up pretty much anything out of carpets or laminate flooring the pipe for doing the stairs is a Godsend and easily reaches to the landing as on the downside is it's a pretty heavy hoover! However only a couple of months after I got it the button which switches the brushes from hard floor to carpet failed and would no longer work not only that constant issues with hair clogging up the brush and rollers even though it says it will break hairs up to avoid that happening.Thankfully Amazon where quick to help me get a replacement sorted out which was delivered pretty quickly with no additional cost. Once we received the replacement we had no issues with it had it over a year now and it being used every other day and unfortunately the same problem with the hard floor/carpet button has happened again. For it's price and more so from Hoover as the manufacturer you'd expect more reliability and robustness with something that gets used on a near daily basis. Personally I won't buy another one not until the design flaws are fixed. Below is a summary of the pros/cons of this product in case you didn't want to read through the abovePros:- powerful suction with all modes and accessories- plenty of accessories for different uses- extendable pipe for stairs and hard to reach areas is a Godsend- tilting action for high speed hooveringCons:- pretty heavy and can be awkward to manoeuvre- very loud especially when you are using hard floor mode- rollers constantly getting clogged with hair even though it says it will break hair up to avoid clogging- flawed design with the hard floor/carpet mode button (had 2 of the same product both failed on this)- price is a bit steep for this product and especially from this manufacturer, I'd expect more reliability and robustnessBottom line: Wouldn't recommend due to design flaws

The Mystery of the Missing Turbo Head
Having recently given a home to an elderly golden retriever I needed a decent vacuum cleaner. I had regularly cleaned my carpeted floors with other vacuums but the Hoover removed several loads of dog hair and fine grit left behind by my other vacuum. The carpet pile is as new. The Hoover went from carpet to wood floor with no problem. Yes it is heavy but once one gets used to the useful swivel head and variable suction, it is not to hard to manoeuvre. The only disappointment was that the carton had been opened before it was delivered. The driver carried it from his van to our front door, with a smaller second item (also ordered from Amazon) placed on the top of the carton. We saw him arrive. When I commented that the carton had been opened he grinned and drove away saying nothing. We found that the plastic wrapping inside had been pushed some way down the vacuum cleaner. On assembling it the small turbo head accessory and bracket were missing. This was immediately reported to Amazon who were most helpful saying they would see if Hoover could send a replacement. Two days later a small white van was seen parked briefly outside our house. Later my husband found the missing attachments lying where we could not miss them. They had not been there before the white van appeared. My Hoover is complete but who tampered with it in transit?
