Deer StagsMen's Bamboo2 Sandal

I love these shoes! Excellent multipurpose shoe. I bought a pair to use during a two week trip to Morocco. They are comfortable, cool in the heat, and they look great with shorts or pants, casual enough for everyday but look good enough for an evening out to a nice restaurant. I walked miles in these shoes in absolute comfort through the markets and medinas of Casablanca, Agadir, and Marrakech. As other reviewers note they do fit a bit large but not terribly so.

I have a very wide foot and these are the only Huarache I've come across that are available in a wide width. That said, they would fit me better if they were wider still. I'm hoping that given the woven leather construction they will stretch out given some time. I may oil them a bit to soften up the leather. I ordered a half size down since everyone says they run large. I could have gone a full size down but glad that I didn't given they are a bit too narrow for me.They look very nice but there is no insole cushioning and zero arch support. They do seem to have a decent sole and are thankfully NOT the traditional piece of tire tread.I tried a different brand last year and had to send them back because they were far to narrow. These are the widest I've found and I think they will be a keeper.Edit: After wearing these for about 3 weeks they have stretched enough to be quite comfortable. At first I could only wear them for a few hours but now I can wear them all day. They are still intact and I think they will give good service. I like that they are cool and casual but one could wear them to a decent restaurant should dining out ever become available again.

I bought this sandals as a Christma's gift for my Daddy. He had a problem few years ago with his feet cause he has diabetes. Since then he rejected to use formal shoes and ALWAYS want to wear only sandals. But we can not find dress and comfy sandals easily. BUT when he tried this ones he fall in love INMEDIATELY and only want to wear them all the times and everybody gave him compliments.Important tip: The sandals run big. He usually wears size 9, after reading the reviews and cause his size was not available I decided to take the risk ordering 8 and 1/2 and fit PERFECT.

I bought the Deer Stags Men's Bamboo 2 Brown Multi Leather 9.5 M US last year and decided to get the black version this year to round out my wardrobe. The first thing I did after receiving them but before actually wearing either version was to take them to a shoe repairman to have plastic (nylon?) taps put on the heels to keep the heels themselves from wearing out too quickly. Also, that way, I only need to replace just the taps when they wear out, saving the heel altogether. Granted, they're not made from the finest leather around, but they are very comfortable and, I think, stylish. Plus, I hate sandals where your toes show. The leather softens up after you've been wearing them a while, especially if you polish them periodically with creme leather polish (not wax) when they get dull looking.

I was looking a sandal for my dad, I looked many sandals than I found this one! Before I saw this sandal, I have never thought a sandal would possibly has this kind classic but casual look! It is very well designed. The martial are very nice. You guys are amazing, based on your suggestions, I sized down for 0.5, as my dad originally wears 9, I got him a 8.5 and it fits great!

I saw the feedback about these shoes being large. I normally wear size 8.5, but I ordered an 8 due to the other reviews. They were still too large. I am returning those and have ordered size 7.5. Even those are a little loose, but they do not seem to carry any smaller size.Also, they charge more for the smaller size. Why is that? Those should contain less material.

I ordered this on a whim as I am heading to South America and warmer climes. I have a wide foot and often this makes shoe buying a problem. These fit perfectly out of the box. They are attractive and my wife approves. What more could I want?

This is my third pair of Deer Stag closed toe sandals. One of the few items of clothing I'll buy online because I know they fit. These are a little different than my others which have a belt loop type closure. My only disappointment with them is the leather strap that goes through the loop frayed a bit. I'm anxious to see how these hold up. I've found them appropriate for all casual events and they look good at dressier events also. I also have a pair of brown slip ons with much the same appearance and they're comfortable also.
