Molymod MKS-122-10 Ten-Layer DNA Molecular Model

You have to build this molecules atom by atom!...and there are a lot of atoms! This will take me all several hours. If I can't mount this thing, it's going back. Weird thing is, this suppose to be a DNA molecule, and thy call the sugar "ribose?" It's great quality! I hope I can put it together. I know it's going to look so great if I do!

Why must this item cost almost as much as my monthly rent :(? As a broke biology student at ISU, I'd kill to get my hands on this. I'd be the envy of all my peers and my apartment would be a mecca for worthy travelers to behold the wonder of my molecular geometry... but it appears that such was not meant to be. I guess I'll go grab some spray paint, styrofoam balls and dowel rods and cry myself to sleep.

The instructions are not very good and my unit came with a broken piece which made it difficult to complete and I had to improvise. But otherwise, the finished unit is beautiful

Premesso che chi acquista un modello molecolare sa che non è un giocattolo, e tralasciando il costo che è sicuramente sostenuto la resa estetica è favolosa. Ma arriviamo al punto. La realizzazione prevede delle.basi di conoscenza della chimica non indifferenti, le istruzioni sono frammentarie e tra loro contraddicenti. Non riuscirete mai a montare il modello se non avete delle conoscenze avanzate di stereochimica ( soprattutto per la realizzazione delle catene di ribosio fosfato ). Fatte queste premesse se siete disposti a impiegare qualche giorno per montarlo e lo trovate ad un prezzo inferiore ai 350 euro il risultato appagherà lo sforzo
