Olympia 410 Sport Gel Classic Motorcycle Gloves

My favorite gloves ever!
This is my 2nd pair. The 1st pair lasted through 15 years of regular use until I wore 'em out. I went to my local motorcycle shop and was told they don't make these anymore. Very disappointed! Then I found them online at Amazon. Yay! They are a great medium weight glove (not super warm) but good for chilly weather. The fit is perfect for my hands, the leather is soft and high quality, and I love the long gauntlet with the wide velcro strap.

Good but lighter weight than expected
I had a pair of these gloves near identical to the picture, but I bought mine around 2001 when I bought my bike. After 15 years of riding, the gauntlet on one hand started to tear so figured it was time to replace them so I bought these on the assumption they were the same. Well the picture matches the gloves but not the weight and strength. They look the same in the picture but they are quite a bit different. Received the gloves and what I can report is the leather and padding is about 4 ounces lighter than mine. The back of one of my old gloves says gel pad and the other says Kevlar. The 410s are softer and lighter weight leather and no Kevlar. Overall they looked to be good quality but lighter than I want so I will have to return and swap for a heavier weight glove.

Not bad at all
New to ridding scooters I purchased these as my first set of gloves. So far they have held up well to the wet and cold Pacific Northwest winter. They are very comfortable to wear, and they allow for good tactile control while still granting some protection. The "Gell" is only in a patch covering the palm (not the fingers) but it definitely helps absorb a bit of vibration. They do not have any added armor (past the leather), and they are not waterproof, but for non-highway use I find them to fit the bill well. While they are not water proof, from dry, it takes about an hour in rain for them to get to the fully saturated point, before that they keep the fingers fairly dry & warm up until about the last 15 min of that hour. expect them to dye your hands light purple the first dozen times they get wet. (I suspect purple hands will fade with time.)So not for long highway touring, and not for heavy rain, but quite antiquate for scooting, and light motorcycling. For anything more aggressive than cruising I'll be getting an armored set, but for light duty these are great.

Good light duty glove
This is my second pair of this glove. My primary use for the glove was for riding between April through October in the Sacramento area of California. My first pair lasted for seven years and eventually wore out on the thumb. The glove is very comfortable with the gel pad on the palm. The tops of the fingers have a double layer of leather for added protection and the knuckle area has ribbed leather for comfort and protection. The elastic on the wrist held up fine for all seven years on my first pair, and the adjustable velcro cuff makes it easy to loosen or tighten as needed. The glove is not designed for long distance cold weather riding, however, I have used it in the winter time for short trips and it is ok. It is light enough that I could use it in 100+ degree Sacramento weather and not be uncomfortable. I ride approximately 10,000 miles a year so my first set got plenty of use. The glove fits true to size so no need to order a larger or smaller size. I recommend this glove for light to heavy non-winter riding.

Do Not Buy!!
First I want to point out that I did not purchase these from Amazon, but because the store I purchased these from does not offer these on their web site I wanted to let anyone consider of buying these gloves know that they are not worth the Money! It was in the low 50's today and after 20 minutes riding around 50mph my fingers where froze.

Great all around motorcycle gloves
This was my first pair of gloves, 20 years ago. They were replaced three times before I moved on to more specifically focused riding gloves from other brands. These gloves are really good for the price, fit well, stay on your hands, don't flap and are comfortable. This pair was for my wife. Her second pair. If you need a good, inexpensive pair of motorcycle gloves and you don't know exactly what you need for your type of riding, you can't go wrong with these.

Leather gloves that fit well, are comfortable and provide decent protection for the daily rider.
This has been my go-to glove for many years. I wear them out in a few years and luckily they still make them the same way that they have done for years. Nothing fancy like other $200 gloves. Just comfortable leather. The gel pad gives me a slightly larger more comfortable grip for my XL hands. I have even crashed in these gloves and worn through the leather, but not my skin. Recommended.
