Like other reviewers, I had to spend a few minutes to figure out how to load and use this dispenser because the included instructions and pictures are mostly useless and a little misleading. But this gadget is great. I use a lot of tiny pieces of tape when I wrap Christmas presents and birthday presents and this does the job, plus it is very affordable. It seems well engineered and should last long time as long as I am not too rough with it.

There were limited instructions on how to lode the tape. Then once you figure it out, the tape either breaks off and you have to re-thread it or it doesn't break, or you can't get it to dispense the tape at all. This is a total waste of your money!!!

After threading it I wasted a lot of tape initially. However, once you learn how to use it you still occasionally have to fix the threading. But, after that, I have been able to fix my ripped documents more efficiently.

This doohickey is the best tape dispenser I've ever used in my life. Sure it's not one of those industrial boxing tape dispensers, bit this one fits in your pocket. I was curious to see if it would work with the really cheap semi transparent tape; it does an okay job. Sometimes it gets caught on the rolling part and just keeps rolling itself up. It's definitely optimized for the thicker sturdier tape it came with (which is really nice. I love it). I would buy some for the rest of the office, but no one else uses as much tape as I do. It's way easier to carry this thing around than a big clunky tape dispenser or a tiny fragile one.

The idea of this product is great. The only problem I had was with the second use a piece broke off and know is only good for storing a roll of tape. I bought it because I usually purchase the Scott hand held tape dispenser and the refills. The reason I did not purchase Scott brand is because it is way over priced.

First off, the dispenser arrived already separated from its cardboard/plastic factory packaging, probably because it was shipped in an Amazon padded envelope. I’m all for minimizing packaging waste but it should at least protect the contents. It was difficult to determine if this was a factor in the poor performance of the item. Second complaint is that the instructions are cryptic at best. I found a You Tube video that was a little bit better. However the unit failed to work properly. While the cutting mechanism worked just fine, I was never able to get the unit to snap back to the closed position after threading the tape through the dispensing mechanism. Disappointed.

I got this to replace the sadly discontinued Scotch wrist tape strip dispenser. I am pleasantly surprised with it.It isn't super easy to load a new roll of tape, and the directions are ridiculous. I figured it out on my own. But when I did some test tries on scrap paper, I was pleased with how easily it dispensed the tape, and cut it cleanly. I just got it, so I can't say anything about the durability. So far, so good though.

I have had this worthless piece of junk for only about 1/2 an hour. It took me that long to figure out how to thread it because it came with no instructions. I’ve used it about five times it quit working and the piece is about to split this is a brand new things that arrive today about half an hour ago do not buy this

This is awesome I am using it to tape pdf pattern pages. Life is much easier now

This thing is so flimsy, which is a shame because in concept it actually works really well. It's just a shame that the part that makes it work one handed broke on its first use! So I've still been using it, but I need 2 hands because the spring loaded part snapped off. So I've now ordered a good old fashioned heavy table top tape dispenser!
