iFixit iOpener - Heat Pad Adhesive Opening Tool for Tablet, Phone, Laptop Repair

Wow the packaging is superb, I'm getting a second set of goodies for a excellent price, can use the squeegee card to clean CC machines amongst everything else

This works so amazingly well came with every thing you need to do repairs on electronicss makes the ease of installation so much easier. It comes with my favorite set of magnetic screw drivers. I love how durable and comfortable they are everything fits together

The instructions, such as they are, are online NOT with product. Reading those, and following them, I see why some think this product doesn't work... 30 seconds in the microwave will heat the Iopener to the point where the pad is too hot to hold?? No wonder people think it doesn't work! Please be VERY careful when heating the pad, but a good rule of thumb is that it should be very hot to the touch. Go with small increments, STOP if it begins to swell up. When properly heated, the glue it is meant to soften does just that... it does work! the reason I only gave it 4 stars (thought of 3) isn't because the product doesn't work, (IT DOES) but REALLY, REALLY BAD directions, that can be fixed if you just look for them. Fix the directions, this is an awesome product!

Great kit for cellphones repair.

The last time I had tried to fix a mobile device screen it didn't go so well because of the adhesive on the screen so I was worried about trying to fix my tablet on my own. Apple refused to do a screen replacement on my old iPad and wanted to charge basically full price to just replace it, and every repair shop was out of my budget so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I am very glad I chose this set of tools to get the job done! The heater bag is amazing! It made taking of the screen mostly painless, until the very end where I had to take off the part of my screen that was shattered but that was more on me. All the tools worked as intended and after some work and a lot of patience I was able to replace my iPad screen on my own without having to pay hundreds of dollars! Now I should mention I am no stranger to fiddling with devices, mostly computers and a phone here and there, I had a clear understanding of what I needed to do coming into this project and these set of tools helped me get the job done. Do your proper research on how to disassemble your device and see if these tools are the right ones you need. For me they were and I was very satisfied with the outcome.

The tools are all good quality and I use them in my kit except for the heating pad. I find that it doesn't retain heat well and doesn't direct it to where it needs to go. Personaly I am skilled enough to use a hot air station to do the same job and not burn what it is I'm trying to lift. The heating pad seams to lose one side and I can get it up but then I have to reheat it place it on the next section wait and then pull it up. With a hot air station I can just circle the entire aria heating it all at once removing it in one go at a quicker speed.

Well, iFixIt have done it again, this is an AWESOME bit of kit, just everything works so well, the cost is prefect, also, I had a issue where the iopener leaked, iFixit replaced it without any fuss at all, just can not fault them. The kit is so easy to use, the added storage space for the screws and bits is amazing, the drivers stay in place brilliantlly and the magnet closing holds it all together great.
