Luxo60001BK A-Edge Mount Bracket for Horizontal Surface Mounting, Black

I just installed two of these 60001-BK mounts and they're perfect. One is holding a Luxo lamp and the other a Ledu lamp, both from about 1970. For the last few decades both lamps have been held up by mounts that screw in to vertical surfaces (like the 50003-LG), but with new furniture, I needed mounts that can clamp onto a horizontal surface.The mount is made of a nonmagnetic metal with a smooth black finish. The underside of its top (that is, the surface facing the top of the table or shelf) has a thin pad made of a nonwoven fabric. I've posted a photo of the pad and a photo of the inside of the mount so you can see the outside of the well that the lamp drops into. The metal disc of the movable part of the clamp does not have a pad.Amazon says "Available to ship in 1-2 days" and mine arrived one week after ordering.

I bought this because the plastic mount that came with my magnifying light broke under stress. I mounted this to the table and inserted the light fixture. It worked like a charm, no issues. It holds the light fixture solidly, without wobble or stress. I am very pleased with the sturdy design and expect it will last a good long time. I highly recommend this mount.

Seems strong, and well made. Just like what the lamp would have come with. The plastic pad on the clamp gives a good grip, and doesn't damage surfaces.

It’s too bad manufacturers don’t use this when producing the managing light in the first place.

I have several old luxo lamps that don't have mount brackets. These work great!

It is Ok but not nearly durable or has the quality as the original. I expect it will not last long and I will be replacing it.

COULDN'T BE HAPPIER...THOUGH I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO THROW OUT MY OLD LAMP...IT'S LIKE PUTTING YOUR DOG DOWN...NOBODY WANTS TO DO THAT!
